In the wake of Sarah Everard, Police Scotland acts, the Met doesn’t but it’s not good enough Scotland

From the BBC website: A new verification check for lone police officers in Scotland has been introduced in the wake of the murder of Sarah Everard. Police Scotland said it wanted to reassure the public after she was abducted and killed by Metropolitan police officer Wayne Couzens. Couzens, 48, used his warrant card to abduct Ms Everard from a south London street before raping and murdering her. Members of the public in Scotland can now request a control room check. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58776349 Action, doing something but what about in London where these events began? What is the Met doing? Well, nothing … Continue reading In the wake of Sarah Everard, Police Scotland acts, the Met doesn’t but it’s not good enough Scotland

LATEST: Scotland now has lowest infection level on more reliable 7 day average

Despite their now massive reporting on almost every aspect of Scotland’s Covid data, BBC Scotland have missed the above. Scotland now has clearly, based on the more reliable 7 day rolling average, the lowest infection level in the UK and the trend is down. What the Herald made of it. Nothing. This confirms the success of the Scot Gov strategy, the work of Sturgeon and Yousaf and the complete imbecility of the opposition parties and their pals in strip club management. Spread some good news around especially when it’s accurate and helps construct a better reality for all of us. Because they do what I expect my subjects to do?

You can see why she loves us: Cardiff University’s student paper offers the best account of this disgraceful hypocrisy given her call for the Scottish Government/Us to get climate change sorted for her: Breakdown: What is ‘Queen’s Consent’? Queen’s Consent (or King’s consent when the monarch is male) is a parliamentary procedure dating back to the 1700s, whereby the sovereign’s consent is needed for a bill affecting the crown’s “prerogative or interests” to be debated by parliament. It is distinct from Royal Assent, which is required for all legislation, and granted after a bill has passed parliament. In theory, Queen’s consent … Continue reading Because they do what I expect my subjects to do?

No really, even with Boris as PM?

Presumably this was even after Boris made his speech to the UN coming out as a full climate change activist, committed to saving the planet. Do those ungrateful Jocks not believe him? What a verminous crowd we are! Next, the Jocks will be saying they’d do better on this business themselves than they do under the broad shoulders of the UK. What possible evidence do they have? This? Alan Brown MP has slammed the UK government’s ignorance to decades of Westminster mismanagement on energy grid charges, which sees Scotland subject to the highest grid charges in Europe. In a Westminster … Continue reading No really, even with Boris as PM?

Scotland surges 7% ahead with vaccinations

Scotland has now given first doses to 7.4% more and 6.5% more second doses than England, confirming its position as the part of the UK with the highest vaccination level. For some time now only Scotland has fully vaccinated all of the over 60s and seems likely to be first to do the over 50s too. Scotland ‘s MSM are of course too busy over the alleged u-turn on drop-in vaccine centres to mention this. Continue reading Scotland surges 7% ahead with vaccinations

Scotland has lowest infection level in UK

No, of course, it’s not the news for our MSM in the way that it would be if we were the Covid capital again, but Scotland today has the lowest rate of Covid infection in the UK. BBC Scotland, the Herald and the Scotsman are far too busy exposing the SNP’s ‘minority’ support, with a majority in Holyrood and the polls but a fatal minority of strip club owners, for vaccine passports and a supposed u-turn on drop in clinics. The latter is clearly crucial, with us leading the charge on vaccinations (next post). Anyhow, from the UK Government: Scotland … Continue reading Scotland has lowest infection level in UK

88% reduction in school exclusions!

The information for my headline is there but well down the page. Not anywhere, of course, is the wider context about school exclusions across Scotland and in comparison with anywhere else. Not for the first time, I’m going to be lazy and repeat some research I did a few years ago. Apologies but I feel sure some of the A students who visit here will dig up something more recent . From TuS in August 2019: Permanent school exclusions from Scottish schools have been falling in the period of SNP government. In 2006/7, 248 pupils were permanently excluded, and the … Continue reading 88% reduction in school exclusions!

‘Only’ the majority in parliament and the people support vaccine passports

In a ridiculous assertion, Reporting Scotland’s Andrew Kerr suggests that the SNP Government is somehow in a minority with, ‘of course’ as he put it, the Scottish Greens. So, is he saying that the Scottish Tories, Labour and Lib Dems along with the nightclub owners constitute some majority of opinion? Remember most of their MSPs were rejected by constituencies and sneaked in on the list. Remember the SNP and Greens have an overall majority in Holyrood. Remember, all the opinion polls show popular support for vaccine passports. Only? Only misrepresenting the facts.
