Call for Scottish expert to advise on E.coli outbreak in Dover
At last, after a series of viral outbreaks causing the spread of former top bacteriologist Professor Hugh Pennington, across the Scottish media, to unconvincingly attack the Scottish Government’s strategy, something he knows about has come up! One triumphant opposition politician was heard to say: ‘Not so smart now, are you, Professor Sridhar?‘ The Tusker has already contacted Kent County Council to recommend Professor Pennington to them, alerting them to his fearlessness in attacking political failure. Lets’ see who will his targets be? Ah…hmmm…could that Green Party mould down there be the source of the E.coli outbreak? Conservative & Unionists in … Continue reading Call for Scottish expert to advise on E.coli outbreak in Dover
Only SNP politicians are targeted
Regular readers must forgive the repetition but in doing this, I build an evidence base, going back years. The SNP politician allegedly responsible for young hopes destroyed is fearlessly displayed above by BBC Scotland but his equivalents in Conservative & Unionist England, Labour Wales and DUP/SF Northern Ireland get away with it again and again Earlier evidence: https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2020/07/30/only-snp-leaders-are-the-faces-of-disaster/ https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2020/05/28/only-in-scotland-why-is-this-the-face-of-a-scandal-of-deaths-in-a-private-care-home-which-fails-inspection/ https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2020/04/03/only-scotlands-media-politicise-death/ Continue reading Only SNP politicians are targeted
Sunday Post care home scare story does not convince
In the end, after their evidence is presented, what the Sunday Post has is this: Some patients who had tested positive for Covid-19 were transferred into care homes but we do not know how many, if any, were still infectious. Some care homes may not have implemented the infection control measures required even though they would have been expected to do so for flu or Norovirus in previous years. The possibility but no proof that any discharged patient was the source of an actual outbreak in a care home. Weighing against this lightweight evidence, we have an emerging but substantial … Continue reading Sunday Post care home scare story does not convince
Unable to condemn a paedophile protector but joining in the shameful attack on an academic
Scottish Lib Dem leader, Willie Rennie, who infamously would not condemn his former leader, David Steel, for protecting the serial paedophile Cyril Smith, is keen as mustard to join in the attack on Professor Sridhar by deliberately misrepresenting her words. In the New York Times, Sridhar wrote: Scotland and Northern Ireland have looked ahead at the coming winter, and made a concerted plan to minimize community transmission to avoid a serious resurgence of the virus by using the summer to drive cases as close to zero as possible and to reopen cautiously. But neither nation has control over its borders … Continue reading Unable to condemn a paedophile protector but joining in the shameful attack on an academic
Why Kirsty Wark should not have made a documentary about Alex Salmond.
In addition to the obvious barrier presented by Wark’s longstanding and personal links to the Labour Party, in its ‘New’ form of course, that we saw leaked into the public domain after First Minister Jack McConnell holidayed with her twice, in 2003 and 2005: (https://www.theguardian.com/media/2005/jan/07/politicsandthemedia.politics), she has a long and dark history of naked hostility toward him manifest in interviews for the BBC. In 2014, impolite, disrespectful, unprepared, arrogant, dismissive, angry, shouting, interrupting repeatedly as she defended Tony Blair against Salmond’s calm legal criticism: There was an earlier example even more bad-tempered, in 2007, but it seems to have gone. … Continue reading Why Kirsty Wark should not have made a documentary about Alex Salmond.
She said ‘England!’ Stone her!
Reading Ian Murray’s tweets and the Express article that so inflamed him, before checking the ‘offending’ piece by Professor Sridhar, with its single purely objective reference to England, I was immediately struck (sic) by a flashback to the above Monty Python sketch from Life of Brian Taylor. It’s such a good fit. She said ‘England!’ Stone her! I only said ‘So both now face a stream of incoming infections from England and Wales.’ Stone her! She said it again! There is a regular flow of people from England…’ She said it AGAIN!!! Stone her!!! Oh no, now the Four Yorkshiremen … Continue reading She said ‘England!’ Stone her!
Daily Express encourages Ian Murray to make a fool of himself again
Ian Murray (Con) has tweeted extensively today attacking Professor Sridhar inspired by his favourite rag, the Daily Express. They’ve clearly got him well-wound up judging by a stream of incoherent demands for the prof to answer his daft questions, right now! I though I’d better read the New York Times piece which in turn had excited Richard Percival at the Express so much. The word English does not appear in the NYT article and England only in this one paragraph: Scotland and Northern Ireland have looked ahead at the coming winter, and made a concerted plan to minimize community transmission … Continue reading Daily Express encourages Ian Murray to make a fool of himself again
UPDATED: Just Silly Season for the Scottish Tory Leader on Radio Scotland?
We can see the Herald thought this was a worthy headline story: A political row has been sparked after Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross missed a VJ Day service to work as a linesman at a football match. The Moray MP served as a linesman during a Scottish Premiership match between Kilmarnock and St Johnstone and was unable to attend a constituency event to honour WW2 veterans in Forres. Bit of a no-brainer? What did Good Morning Scotland’s panel think? The section was introduced with the notion that the newspapers are in ‘Silly Season‘ with nothing important to cover. The Ross story was mentioned … Continue reading UPDATED: Just Silly Season for the Scottish Tory Leader on Radio Scotland?
You can smell the burning hatred of the SNP on Radio Scotland and detect a wee Lib Dem leak too
Early this mourning on BBC Radio Scotland: You could smell the burning rubber from the handbrake u-turn but will the SNP’s volte-face to end the exams fiasco seem like incompetence of more like a listening government in the minds of voters come the Holyrood election next May?…. Siobhan [Mathers, Lib Dem adviser, Tory think-tank], how damaged are the SNP by this? SM: I think they will get away with it. I don’t think it is good for Scottish kids what they have done. That’s quite an opening sentence from Isobel Fraser. Has James Cook been sharing his US experiences of … Continue reading You can smell the burning hatred of the SNP on Radio Scotland and detect a wee Lib Dem leak too
Our man in Glasgow tells his own people what he thinks they need to know! You’re no better than the rest of the UK!
Scotland has had no deaths for a whole month now and a far lower infection rate for several months, than almost any other country in the world, evidence below, but Iain Macwhirter insists on lingering over and lying about the first bloody phase when the 4 Nations approach denied Scotland the information or the legal and fiscal autonomy to diverge: In the above comparison of 14 ‘advanced’ nations on 22 July, with reasonably reliable data, Scotland is one of the least infected of all. Levels have risen since then everywhere even in New Zealand. Only those small independent countries, not … Continue reading Our man in Glasgow tells his own people what he thinks they need to know!
