Only in Scotland

Who is urging this? Haha, it’s only Alex Cole-Hamilton of the Lib Dem 4. Yes only 71.5% were seen in 4 hours in week ending 12th September. They are under pressure as attendances climb back to pre-Covid levels. NHS England’s September data are not out yet but in August, they only saw 66.2% in 4 hours, the lowest ever. The Health Secretary, Savid Javid, has not been urged to justify his job on this issue. The UK MSM are not even covering it. Cole-Hamilton’s boss, Sir Ed Davey, has not urged Savid Javid to justify his job. Continue reading Only in Scotland

The National’s Michael Fry surfaces to undermine the cause

In 2015, the editor of the National, Richard Walker, told the Guardian that they would feel free to attack the SNP. Regulars like Kevin McKenna and Michael Fry, make much of that position, with ill-informed and biased reporting which can only damage the cause. In March, Fry even suggested that Scotland had had more Covid deaths than rUK: https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2021/03/30/the-nationals-michael-fry-dishonestly-suggests-scotland-has-had-more-covid-deaths/ Today, we see: SCOTLAND has the only government in the world which, while seeking freedom from an unfriendly parent state, is also asking it to send in troops to tackle a domestic crisis. Yes, soldiers of the British army will be … Continue reading The National’s Michael Fry surfaces to undermine the cause

Scotland produces nearly 4 TIMES as much gas as it needs

All of the MSM including the ‘Scottish’ press are full of warnings of soaring power bills. None mention that with 8% of the population, Scotland produces 28% of the UK’s gas consumption. The rest comes mainly from Norway and Russia. Click to access 2020_Energy_Consumption_in_the_UK__ECUK_.pdf https://www.gov.scot/news/oil-and-gas-production-statistics-for-2019-1/ And on electricity, none mention that Scotland produces 97% of its electricity from renewables, compared to only 35% in the UK or that 25% of the UK consumption is transferred from Scotland. https://www.thescottishfarmer.co.uk/news/19504045.scotland-reaches-renewables-top-three/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renewable_energy_in_Scotland: “BEIS Energy Trends – Renewables”. Scotland has far more hospital beds per head than rUK

The proxy war against the SNP using the NHS as the battleground is at full force with a series of evidence free reports based on the interests of narrow groups as opposed to the wider population. This suggestion of a lack of beds in NHS Scotland needs some context. From the Kings Fund in 2020: The total number of NHS hospital beds in England, including general and acute, mental illness, learning disability, maternity and day-only beds, has more than halved over the past 30 years, from around 299,000 in 1987/88 to 141,000 in 2018/9, while the number of patients treated has … Continue reading Scotland has far more hospital beds per head than rUK

Scottish Government testing rules ‘could save thousands of lives’

As always BBC Scotland start off from the viewpoint of businesses, promote the English approach and only in the last of 19 paragraphs, can we read: Scotland’s national clinical director Prof Jason Leitch has warned that removing the PCR testing requirement for new arrivals would make it harder to detect new Covid variants, as genomic testing is not possible with lateral flow tests. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58627572 As always, we never hear of what the Scottish Government has achieved as in this: The death rate in England & Wales has been far higher than in Scotland. Had they followed the Scottish Government’s approach, … Continue reading Scottish Government testing rules ‘could save thousands of lives’

QC representing parents lies to judge

In a BBC Scotland piece worthy of the National Enquirer, a parent is exploited for a quote and others are wheeled in by a QC of doubtful intelligence or perhaps ethics. We read: He said that “significant numbers” suffered infection from 2017 onwards and that parents “could not believe that the hospital environment was as far as they were concerned making their already sick children more ill”. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-58618317 That’s not even remotely true. I demonstrate the utterly insignificant level of infection nearly two years ago: Bias by graphing? The left-hand scale needs to go up to at least 400 and … Continue reading QC representing parents lies to judge

99.9% of parents have faith in Glasgow Hospital

In the Herald today: Many parents whose children were treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital have lost faith in it as a safe place for them to be cared for and want answers over what went wrong, an inquiry has heard. According to BBC Scotland, two deaths have been linked to the the Queen Elizabeth University … Continue reading 99.9% of parents have faith in Glasgow Hospital

Transmission charging is penalising Scotland

Transmission charging is penalising Scotland From SNP Media: Responding to SSEN Transmission’s latest TNUoS analysis paper, the SNP’s BEIS spokesperson, Stephen Flynn MP said: “Report after report confirms that the current system of transmission charging is penalising Scotland, and this is the latest. “Scottish renewables projects are paying huge sums to access the grid while equivalent projects in England are actually paid to connect to the very same ‘national’ grid. This is quite simply renewables robbery. “Scotland has the potential to lead Europe in renewable energy, but we are being held back by a Tory Government with no interest in our net zero … Continue reading Transmission charging is penalising Scotland
