Scottish Tory suggests Scotland adopts failing UK woodland strategy

In Holyrood on Tuesday, Maurice Golden (SCAUP) asked the Scottish Government whether the Forestry Commission’s new Woodland Carbon Guarantee is a model that it would consider for use in Scotland? Fergus Ewing replied straightaway that the Woodland Carbon Guarantee has been designed to help address the relatively high costs of woodland creation in many parts of England, which have been identified as a significant barrier to the achievement of England’s planting targets. These costs are not reflected in Scotland, where 84% of all new UK woodland was established in 2018-19. To those who argue that at least the Queen does a good job remember that she rewarded Andrew AFTER he was first exposed

In 2008, Epstein admits prostituting minors and is sentenced to 18 months in prison. In 2010, Epstein is released from jail and Andrew is photographed with him in New York’s Central Park. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/prince-andrew-interview-jeffrey-epstein-friendship-timeline-when-a9205936.html In 2011: The Queen invested Andrew with the highest-ranking insignia of Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2011/mar/31/prince-andrew-honoured-by-queen She could not be sending us a clearer sign of her contempt for the young woman abused or for those of her subjects sensitive enough to be offended by it. One Ayrshire Union man’s heart attack, how the Scottish Ambulance Service astonished him and the lies our MSM had told him about it before

Just back from a dog walk in Ayr where I met a retired policeman in his late 70s to hear that he’d had a heart attack three weeks earlier. A serious kind of guy with no time for independence or for the SNP, I’d often teased him that he had no heart. I got the full story. After an hour and a half thinking it might be indigestion, he dialled 999. Ten minutes later the ambulance is at his door. The paramedics then spend twenty minutes doing checks and call the hospital to alert them before taking him at speed … Continue reading One Ayrshire Union man’s heart attack, how the Scottish Ambulance Service astonished him and the lies our MSM had told him about it before

Leading Academic seems to be saying that Scotland’s accession to the EU would be a shoe-in!

Even the Englander Daily Express knows it: Now, leading academic (not me this time folks), Kirsty Hughes of the Scottish Centre on European Relations at the English University of Edinburgh, appears to be saying ‘it’s a shoe-in’ or in Nicola’s case a stylish ‘stiletto-in.’ Hughes writes like an academic so if you don’t fancy reading the whole thing (I’m not saying you couldn’t. Don’t get huffy!) I’ve extracted the tastier morsels for you: Any European state that respects the EU’s values can apply to join the EU (as article 49 of the Treaty on European Union states). It’s what happens … Continue reading Leading Academic seems to be saying that Scotland’s accession to the EU would be a shoe-in!

Scotland’s schools now ‘fully staffed.’ That can’t be good for us in the media, can it?

From the, of course biased, Scottish government website: Advertised vacancies for permanent primary teacher roles have dropped by more than half since last year, from 204 to 88, according to new data. Meanwhile, local councils have advertised 224 fewer permanent teacher vacancies for primary and secondary schools combined compared to the same time last year. There are currently 24 899 primary teachers in Scotland so that’s a vacancy rate of 0.35%. Whoever is the Labour spokesperson said: ‘It’s not good enough!’ Teaching vacancies for the secondary sector alone – with primary schools removed – dropped by more than 100, from … Continue reading Scotland’s schools now ‘fully staffed.’ That can’t be good for us in the media, can it?

Scotland’s ‘Housing First’ project is largest in UK and ‘so far ahead so quickly’ but BBC go for one unrelated death

We’ve already seen attempts to turn an unrelated death into a crisis which can then be pinned on Glasgow’s SNP administration. However, there is no evidence that this death is in any way attributable to lack of emergency accommodation and Glasgow City Mission still intend to open their winter shelter on 1st December as planned. On the same day, the Scottish Government-funded ‘Housing First Pathfinder’ reached a milestone and drew international praise. This, and the evidence of longer-term success in reducing homelessness, reported here, were not reported. So, as homelessness climbs in rUK, a single unconnected death is used to … Continue reading Scotland’s ‘Housing First’ project is largest in UK and ‘so far ahead so quickly’ but BBC go for one unrelated death

Why is an English Health Secretary NOT named and shamed for 40 years of babies and mothers dying?

Then Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, is allowed to appear, but only in the text, as a responsible person announcing an investigation into one of the worst crises ever in NHS England. Will this story headline BBC England News for another 5 days? Will we ever see his face or the face of the current incumbent, Matt Hancock? On BBC Scotland, we have seen the face of ‘Freeman’ or calls for her to resign, every day, for 6 days now. Remember, NOT ONE patient has died BECAUSE OF possible infections in the water supply of one hospital. This massive hospital is … Continue reading Why is an English Health Secretary NOT named and shamed for 40 years of babies and mothers dying?

Homelessness under SNP falls dramatically but surges under UK Tories
