Business mag is just front for Tory propaganda

Insider is a supposedly non-partisan site but writer Ken Symon is by no means so.

This report with the deceptive choice of photo and headline suggests the Scottish Tories had the guts to vote against the Brexit deal when in fact they were the only ones creepy enough to support it.

The text could have been written by Davidson herself.

Symon, long-time Better Together activist, has previous:

WRIGGLING CARE HOME GROUP OWNER WANTS TO PAY FOR DIFFERENT ANSWERS THAT DON’T BLAME CARE HOME GROUPS

In another piece from Better Together activist Ken Symon: A care home group owner has offered to pay for Freedom of Information searches to find answers from the Scottish Government on the spread of Covid-19. Robert Kilgour, executive chairman of Scotland’s largest care home group Renaissance Care, was responding to the news that the Scottish Government … Continue reading Wriggling care home group owner wants to pay for different answers that don’t blame care home groups→

BETTER TOGETHER FIGURE ATTACKS SNP GOVERNMENT POLICY TO SAVE LIVES

Headlining in Business Insider, Ken Symon tells us: Business groups hit out at today’s Scottish Government five-tier local Covid restrictions announcement warning that it will cause “confusion and distress” and would be the last straw for many firms. The Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA) said the new tier system, which comes into force on Monday, has … Continue reading Better Together figure attacks SNP Government Policy to save lives→

    1. There is a ready supply so aye, it matters not to these greedy BritNats whether the people in care homes die, they just don’t intend to let anyone get in their way of making huge profits, it’s all very crooked.

    1. ‘All for the union’, British Nationalists yes, who are intent on demonising Scotland’s democratically elected party of choice, the SNP. They hope to bring down the SNP in May 21, by hook and by crook.

  3. This may not be too O/T in the context of this thread! I note the article – ‘Brexit bows out with a whimper, not a bang’ – by Laura Kuenssberg on the BBC News website.

    Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-55493864

She asserts that in Westminster and outside it, “The relative political calm, however, does not mask two big factors.” So what are these big factors worthy of Ms Keunssberg’s attention?

“First, many aspects of how the country does business and interacts with the rest of the world are about to change in a dramatic way.” Indeed they are!

“Second, the prime minister is right now simply refusing to accept that in a couple of days, even under this deal, that for a lot of businesses and individuals it’s going to be more complicated, not less, to interact with our nearest neighbours.” Seems to be stating the bl—dy obvious!

But when selecting “big factors” to discuss, did she just forget about the following?

On the 30th December the Belfast Telegraph reported that: “The Northern Ireland Assembly has voted against Brexit and the trade deal agreed between the UK Government and the European Union. The vote will not have any impact ahead of the end of the transition period later this week.”

On the 30 December, the Daily Express reported: “Welsh Parliament rejects Boris Johnson’s ‘extremely damaging’ Brexit bill”. The article here could also have added the bit about the vote having no impact!

And we know the Scottish Parliament rejected the Tory deal on the same day.

So elected representatives of three of the four nations of the UK reject the Tory deal. However, within what Ms Keunssberg and her employer, the BBC would no doubt view as the ‘precious Union’, this is not a big enough ‘factor’ to be worthy of comment in what was her main comment piece for the BBC News website on this momentous occasion. Telling!

    1. Not giving BBC clickbait. It will very likely make no difference to the lies, propaganda and manipulation that these wasters plonk on shops shelves and internet every day.
Next time we should crowdfund, buy them out and close it down. £10.2 millions is not much these days, it’s obviously not worth much!

      1. Hell no AH, let them take the hit, crash and burn, crowdfund a scottish paper which isn’t behoven to outside influence such as the Herod…
It’s not journalism that’s killing media it’s owners, Scotland needs a vibrant non-partisan press, it survives quite successfully outside Britain…
