After 11 years, the Labour Party is finally confirmed as ‘fatally corrupt’ as leading academic withdraws his regret in light of Gaza genocide complicity, McSweeney funding scandal, several sex offences and Neil Bibby’s poor arithmetic

Professor John Robertson OBA In my interview above, 11 March 2014, to defend my research revealing a quantitative 3 to 1 bias in BBC Scotland coverage of the referendum campaign, 36 min in: Neil Bibby (Labour): Is it your belief, stated publicly, that the Labour Party is ‘fatally corrupt?’  There’s a quote from an interview you gave to Open Democracy, where you said ‘There are good people in the BBC. Mindless loyalty to a now fatally corrupt Labour Party is not uniform.’ Me: ‘I don’t think I should have said that last bit. I think the first bit I should … Continue reading After 11 years, the Labour Party is finally confirmed as ‘fatally corrupt’ as leading academic withdraws his regret in light of Gaza genocide complicity, McSweeney funding scandal, several sex offences and Neil Bibby’s poor arithmetic

Once you are identified as being a news source that consistently promotes misinformation then it should really be ‘Game Over

By Liz S MSM Monitor posted this on ‘X’ in respect to the BBC Sunday show: “The Sunday Show lined up Douglas Alexander and Margaret Curran to follow John Swinney’s conference interview. Two hard-line Labour BritNats. Alexander launched into multiple SNPBad attacks with zero challenge. There were no SNP voices on during the Labour conference. None” Curran another Labour Dinosaur and also historically a failed MP , who was , like others, one who was (eventually) parachuted , in January 2025 , into the HOL. An action that Sir Keir Starmer assumed was acceptable to do (though did he really care on … Continue reading Once you are identified as being a news source that consistently promotes misinformation then it should really be ‘Game Over

In a medium sized country like Scotland not far away there is a ‘Labour Party’ in opposition that takes a different view from the socially conservative Mr Sarwar.

By stewartb In a medium sized country like Scotland not far away there is a ‘Labour Party’ in opposition that takes a different view from the socially conservative Mr Sarwar. This is the Labour Party of Ireland. Source: https://labour.ie/policy/decrim/ ‘Labour believes in a system in decriminalisation and taking a health led approach. It’s time to take problem drug use out of the courts and wrap supports around people who need help. Criminalising, shaming and stigmatising people in addiction leads to a system that undermines and dehumanises people who need our support, care and compassion. It’s time to change it. ‘Decriminalising would mean: … Continue reading In a medium sized country like Scotland not far away there is a ‘Labour Party’ in opposition that takes a different view from the socially conservative Mr Sarwar.

Very little evidence of young children taking knives into schools in Scotland

Professor John Robertson OBA There’s not one reference to Scotland in this 1 500 word report yet the broadcast on BBC Breakfast this morning explicitly includes it in the problem and the call for ‘knife arches’ to be installed in every school: Incidents of very young children taking knives into primary schools have been revealed by a BBC investigation. Police in Kent recorded an assault involving a four-year-old pupil, while officers in the West Midlands reported that a six-year-old had taken a flick knife into class. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c77d06vde4po I am not aware of directly comparable figures for Scotland and neither are BBC UK‘s … Continue reading Very little evidence of young children taking knives into schools in Scotland

A full year of steady decline means Scottish Labour are not coming back any time soon and certainly not by next May

Professor John Robertson OBA Lucy Dunn in the Spectator yesterday has: Scottish Labour may be down but they’re not out. The polls have not been moving in their favour over the last few months and on the eve of Labour’s conference in Liverpool a Norstat survey for the Sunday Times brought more bad news: never mind losing out on first place at the 2026 Holyrood election, Scottish Labour could crash into third next year thanks to a surge in support for Nigel Farage’s leaderless tartan outfit. It would be a pretty humiliating state of affairs.  Yet despite all this, the mood in … Continue reading A full year of steady decline means Scottish Labour are not coming back any time soon and certainly not by next May

Infected blood scandal – The mob who supposedly ‘report’ political news within Scotland are not exactly the same calibre of the Washington Post’s Carl Bernstein or Bob Woodward

By Liz S People in Scotland need to realise that these UK political parties, whenever they achieve any power, they then have a tendency to hold the ‘purse strings very very tightly’ ……….to such an extent that they rarely want to open that public purse to provide , not just any compensation, but appropriate compensation to those negatively impacted …… As in impacted not through their own actions but through either a negligence of the UK State, or via an action taken by a part of the establishment that represents the UK State or a bad decision directly taken by the UK State. Newsnight on BBC2 once had , as guests, the “victims and campaigners seeking … Continue reading Infected blood scandal – The mob who supposedly ‘report’ political news within Scotland are not exactly the same calibre of the Washington Post’s Carl Bernstein or Bob Woodward

How Jim Murphy has made millions in Starmer era from his ‘lobbying behemoth’

By Liz S Long comment but really crucial as something that really exposes the sheer hypocrisy and blatant double standards applied by the Labour party…and also those individuals still connected to them. You know most people in Scotland, and elsewhere, may not realise that one of the biggest political losers in Scottish politics and also a very unpopular Labour leader in Scotland , Jim Murphy , has apparently now been ‘winning’ since ‘losing’ Labour a majority of their Labour MP’s in the 2015 UK GE………where he lost Labour 40 MP’s in Scotland out of total of 41….which included him losing in his own constituency. Yesterday , The Times newspaper did a piece on him … Continue reading How Jim Murphy has made millions in Starmer era from his ‘lobbying behemoth’

‘Proud’ Englishman’s attempt to patronise Scots is embarrassing afterthought

By Liz S On the BBC website Scottish Politics page. Starmer expresses pride in saltire as he vows UK ‘renewal’ Well actually the content of this article specifies that he , in his conference speech, stated “”I’m not just proud of the union jack and the cross of St George, I’m also proud of the saltire, proud of the red dragon, proud of our union.” So not just noting “pride” in the Saltire then….and also what Union is it that he is referring to ? Also if he is so “proud” of the Saltire then why is it that he only produces a video every year on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) on St George’s day and declares what he thinks it means … Continue reading ‘Proud’ Englishman’s attempt to patronise Scots is embarrassing afterthought

NO ONE anywhere should be reviled , hated or indeed killed just because of their religion or their beliefs

By Liz S Post the attacks on the synagogue yesterday……. “Sir Keir Starmer has promised to do “everything” in his power to protect Jewish people as he said Britain must defeat antisemitic hate“…… However what is Starmer doing to “protect Muslim people within his Britain” as surely “Britain” must also “defeat Islamophobia hate” as well ? He also said that “hatred against Jews is rising once again” but surely he also recognises the same is applicable “against Muslims”….. Let’s be honest here…. much of that hatred against Muslims stems from the language being used by people like Starmer, also other politicians (including pretend ones … Continue reading NO ONE anywhere should be reviled , hated or indeed killed just because of their religion or their beliefs

Dr Iain Kennedy linked to Labour campaign and Prof Curtice might be underestimating the intelligence of fleeing Labour voters

Professor John Robertson OBA, Former Faculty Research Ethics Chair The word ‘ethics’ does not appear in Prof Curtice’s CV. Should I see if Dr Kennedy has any such interests? Should I check if the BMA ever considers the ethical dimensions of their surveys? I did. SFA. In the Herald today – Labour is losing ground in Scotland as NHS blame game bites, two things are intriguing. The big one is about the NHS performance so I’ll get the lesser one out of the way first: With mounting waiting lists, staff shortages, and bed-blocking crises, Scottish Labour has made the state of the … Continue reading Dr Iain Kennedy linked to Labour campaign and Prof Curtice might be underestimating the intelligence of fleeing Labour voters
