BBC Scotland again telling us that immigration is one of those issues that most concern voters.
It’s not true.
In September 2025:

Immigration & asylum climbing from March to June 2025 as an issue in Scotland after a summer of media frenzy amplifying a handful of tiny peaceful protests here had pushed it into poll respondents’ minds.

Less than two weeks earlier one poll by the David Hume Institute was fuelling a media frenzy suggesting Scots too were prioritising immigration as one of the top three issues concerning voters.
That the issue was at only at 21% compared to 48% for the NHS and 37% for the cost of living did not seem to concern the ‘analysts’ as it had climbed from 16% in May and only 4% in 2023.
The above results from YouGov also have the issue up from 22% to 28% but, and this is key, for an issue to affect voting by a significant proportion of the electorate it would have to push into the top level, close to the percentages for the NHS and the cost of living, and after six months of heavy MSM coverage, it has not done so, tells you it remains of marginal influence when it comes to voters making up their mind.

Why do BBC Scotland keep telling us this?
You know, it’s because the pro-Independence parties are openly committed to accepting more immigration in the interests of our economy.
By March 2026, immigration had fallen dramatically as a concern for Scottish voters and we could write:
Despite UK media carpet bombing of the issue, according the more reliable Ipsos in March 2026 (the only recent one with this breakdown):
Healthcare 54%, Cost of Living 41%, Energy 27%, Independence 25%, Economy 25%, Crime 25%, Social care and Immigration 21%.
So 7th with only 21%, one in 5.
Whereas, from Opinium in April 2026 for the UK (the only recent one with this):
Health 50%, Immigration 44%, Economy 44%, Energy 25% etc.
So, second with 44%, more than 2 in 5.
To conclude, Scotland remains a progressive outlier with only half the level of concern about immigration and no chance of Reform UK winning a constituency.
