Scotland’s A&E departments treat 85% in less than 4 hours over Christmas and beat even the faked figures for NHS England in November
NHS England have not released A&E performance figures now since their monthly return for November 2019. NHS Scotland release weekly figures and in the week ending 29 December 2019, they treated an astonishing 85% within 4 hours. Even NHS England’s faked figures based on the inclusion of their small ‘Elastoplast’ units which typically return near to 100% data, only claimed 81.4% for November. In reality, their Type 1 departments only manged 71.3% at the end of a steady fall from a summer ‘high’ of 78.9%. https://www.isdscotland.org/Health-Topics/Emergency-Care/Publications/2020-01-07/Summary-Weekly/index.asp https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/ae-waiting-times-and-activity/ae-attendances-and-emergency-admissions-2019-20/ They must at some time release the data for December and the trend … Continue reading Scotland’s A&E departments treat 85% in less than 4 hours over Christmas and beat even the faked figures for NHS England in November
44 reasons why the FM is correct to speak against war as a vanity project with ‘broken faimlies’ the cost
In 2003, Alex Salmond, then leader of the SNP, spoke frequently against the Iraq War and pointed to the vanity of PM Tony Blair as he casually threw away lives in pursuit of his career and bowed to the pressure a US president in need of a boost for his fading popularity. Now we have the even more self-centred and weak Boris Johnson unable to resist the pressure of the current US President. According to BBC sources, 19 Scots military personnel have died in Iraq and 25 have died in Afghanistan https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-36714221 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10629358 So, the current FM is correct to … Continue reading 44 reasons why the FM is correct to speak against war as a vanity project with ‘broken faimlies’ the cost
Tory MSP tries to exploit drug deaths her party caused in sickening political stunt
In the Times and headlining on BBC Scotland, of course, List MSP Annie Wells has called on the PM to hold a summit, when he gets back, on Scotland’s drug deaths. Wells is known for opposing safe consumption rooms to reduce deaths, but these cannot be tried by the Scottish Government due to Westminster’s reserved control. Research evidence for their effectiveness is clear: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5685449/ The obvious thing for Wells to have done, would have been to join the SNP calls for the matter to be devolved but hard Unionism trumps death, it seems. There is deep irony in asking the … Continue reading Tory MSP tries to exploit drug deaths her party caused in sickening political stunt
Lib Dems working for English Daily Express to attack NHS Scotland staff
We read: NHS staff in Scotland have taken more than 5,000 years’ worth of sick leave since 2016, according to damning new figures. Data obtained by the Liberal Democrats under freedom of information laws show the country’s beleaguered health boards lost just over 45 million hours to staff illness over the period. The annual total soared by nearly a fifth, from 11.6 million hours in 2016 to 13.7 million hours in 2018 amid rising concern over a string of missed key waiting times targets. This included a dramatic 71.6 percent rise at Scotland’s largest health board – NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. … Continue reading Lib Dems working for English Daily Express to attack NHS Scotland staff
Bogdan tells Boris to rein-in the Jocks! The man who taught David Cameron everything calls SNP policies ‘regressive!’
In the Times yesterday: One of Britain’s leading constitutional experts has said that greater devolution is the “last thing Scotland needs” and claimed that education and health reforms have failed north of the border. Vernon Bogdanor, a professor of government at King’s College London, urged Boris Johnson to prevent the SNP’s “regressive” health and education policies from dragging down the UK economy. He called on Mr Johnson to resist the urge to “devolve and forget” and spend more time challenging the Scottish government’s record. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/scotland/vernon-bogdanor-greater-scottish-devolution-wont-fix-snps-education-and-health-failings-q89d0tmrb Some people will read and believe this drivel from a supposed intellectual, so if this rebuttal hits at least … Continue reading Bogdan tells Boris to rein-in the Jocks! Offensive Behaviour at Work? Blue, Red and Green Tories putting businesses at risk to score points against SNP again but BBC Scotland misses it
From Insider yesterday: MSP claims SNP is ‘party of business’ after opposition attempt to amend Non-Domestic Rates BillBottom of Form. The number of private-sector firms in Scotland is at a record level, according to Scottish Government figures. The total operating in the country rose by more than a quarter from 279,940 in 2007 to 356,550 in 2019. The figures, dating back to the start of the new millennium, indicate the number has risen steadily each year since 2000. SNP MSP Kenneth Gibson claimed that could be thrown into reverse by an attempt to amend the Non-Domestic Rates Bill by opposition … Continue reading Offensive Behaviour at Work? In 2018/19 NHS Scotland A&E outstripped all other parts of UK despite English figures being fiddled
These are remarkable figures: Seen within 4 hours Waiting more than 12 hours England 12 785 247, 81.5% (76.9%) 324 572, 2% Scotland 1 252 051, 89.9% 2 360, 0.2% Wales 620 608, 75.2% 45 757, 5.5% N Ireland 434 468, 64.7% 25 132, 3.7% https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/hospital-accident–emergency-activity/2018-19 So, even as they stand, NHS Scotland’s figures are far superior. Perhaps most shocking, is the fact that you were 27 times more likely to have to wait more than 12 hours in a Welsh A&E department. You were only 10 times more likely to have done so in England and, at … Continue reading In 2018/19 NHS Scotland A&E outstripped all other parts of UK despite English figures being fiddled
Controversial SNP prof applies for job at No.10!
At great personal risk, but prepared to take one for the team, I have applied for a job at No.10 with Dominic Cummings. I did. The email has gone. Dear Dominic ‘Two hands are a lot’ — we’re hiring data scientists, project managers, policy experts, assorted weirdos… Having read your blog post, above, I write to offer myself as your special adviser to the Secretary of State for Scotland and as a key player in your creative destruction strategy for the UK. In particular, I can advise on how best to make sure England’s destiny as a free and potent global … Continue reading Controversial SNP prof applies for job at No.10!
Scotland would be in EU ‘very fast!’
Thanks to a FoI request in November triggered by the FM on Andrew Neil we can see these two quotes from real experts which make clear the stupidity of comments by politicians and TV presenters that Scotland might struggle to re-enter the EU: Lord Kerr, the former UK ambassador to the EU, author of Article 50, and a member of the First Minister’s Standing Council on Europe has said: “The good news is that it would be a very swift accession negotiation. The sort of rubbish people talk about – back of the queue, behind the Turks– …..there is no … Continue reading Scotland would be in EU ‘very fast!’
NO SHOCK: Scotsman/Lib Dem Alliance LIES!
Based on another muck-raking, staff-time-wasting, FoI request by the Lib Dem’s Mike Rumbles, we see that Transport Scotland staff made 13 more domestic flights (184 to 197) than last year but 45 fewer international flights (155 to 110). The data is here: https://twnews.co.uk/gb-news/polluting-scottish-government-transport-chiefs-double-their-flights-abroad How did they get this ‘doubling?’ Creatively, they just compared the 2018/19 data with those from 2014/15, ignoring the recent improvement, which actually suggests a promising fast response to the Climate Action policy initiative by the SNP in 2019. Rumbles was not asked about his former leader, Jo Swinson’s 77 flights in the last 18 months: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7718847/Lib-Dem-leader-branded-climate-change-hypocrite-taking-77-flights-just-18-months.html Continue reading NO SHOCK: Scotsman/Lib Dem Alliance LIES!
