Mortality rate in English hospitals may be more than 3 times higher!

Yesterday, I reported the tragic news that, due to the new Scottish Government process for recording CV deaths, the rate had climbed to 5.7%. https://www.gov.scot/news/new-process-for-reporting-covid-19-deaths/ The UK average rate was 8.6%, it seemed, but no such updated process had been implemented in England so the figures are not yet comparable. However, in the Guardian today, three statisticians, ignoring the changes in Scotland of course, have been able to quantify the under-reporting in England, as far forward as the 30th March. On one day, 29th, there were three times more deaths than reported in the statistics but over the period they … Continue reading Mortality rate in English hospitals may be more than 3 times higher!

David Leask reveals Scotland massively subsidising electricity supply in England

In a Herald report by David Leasky, alleged Lance-corporal in the 77th Brigade and champion of the Union, we read the headline: ‘Record £745m of wind power exported by Scotland’ It’s nearly there. It should be: Record £745m of electricity exported by Scotland to England Not enough space? Things are clearly better together. For obvious reasons, I can’t see if he has mentioned the fact that as well as providing all this we pay extra for the pleasure. We reported on this some time ago: In Energy Voice on 28 January 2020: ‘Mammoth Highland offshore wind farms are footing a bill of … Continue reading David Leask reveals Scotland massively subsidising electricity supply in England

As NHS England collapses, the Tory press cheer their readers by sticking it to the Jocks

When even the BBC is exposing Tory failures on coronavirus testing, what can the Daily Torygraph do? When the UK coronavirus mortality rate (% of those confirmed who die) approaches 10%, just behind Spain at 12% but in Scotland it’s half that, at 5.7%, should they attack the UK Government? ‘No, let’s stick it to those Jocks with a goal from 1966!’ ‘Sorry, 1996. Knew there was a six in it.’ Continue reading As NHS England collapses, the Tory press cheer their readers by sticking it to the Jocks

SHOCK: Tories and Lib Dems to unite with Labour under Baillie in ‘Rainbow Alliance Treaty Scotland (RATS)’

Not Willie Rennie! He’s a fn loser! If people see that they’ll think I’m a loser too. We both got single figures in a recent poll? Oh. Oh no, not Jamie Greene too! If people see that they’ll think Tories are comfortable with me. They’ll think I’m a kind of Tory too. I’m not am I? We voted together on Trident renewal? Oh. In Labour, ‘sensible experienced’ means rightist, post-Blairite. ‘Really nice’ means comfortable with greed. Pictures Editor: I deny over-using that shot. Only Scotland’s media politicise death

BBC Scotland and the Herald with the First Minister associated every day but in the UK, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, no politician is ever pictured. Indeed, in England, there are no deaths to be mentioned, ever: What about the Guardian, sworn enemy of the PM? Or, the Telegraph, champion of ‘Boris’ in the election campaign? Readers will remember that this is not new: Continue reading Only Scotland’s media politicise death

Oh come on! It’s not as if he left her for a journalist

Seriously though, it’s not a crime. What kind of newspaper headlines this kind of thing? Who wrote it? Hannah Rodger. Rodger? Rodger? Nudge nudge? If you thought yesterday’s ‘row’ about naming a hospital based on a rant from Douglas Alexander and two other tweets, was evidence of how low the Herald can sink, think again. I mean, FFS, he’s just a councillor. He’s not the former First Minister is he? Did they have a better grasp on what journalism is, only four years ago? Ultimately, the breakdown of the marriages of two SNP MPs, allegedly following affairs with the same … Continue reading Oh come on! It’s not as if he left her for a journalist

Facts about Covid-19: UK Extracts

The Swiss website content is enormous. You might like to see just those items specifically referring to the UK: A model from Imperial College London predicted between 250,000 and 500,000 deaths in the UK „from“ Covid-19, but the authors of the study have now conceded that many of these deaths would not be in addition to, but rather part of the normal annual mortality rate, which in the UK is about 600,000 people per year. In other words, excess mortality would remain low. The UK has removed Covid19 from the official list of High Consquence Infectious Diseases (HCID), stating that mortality rates … Continue reading Facts about Covid-19: UK Extracts
