From Public Health Scotland today:
In June 2022, the average number of beds occupied per day due to delayed discharges was 1,678. This is a decrease of 2% compared to May 2022 when the daily average was 1,707.

There was a 5% drop in delays in May 2022.
There’s over 20,000 hospital beds in Scotland, that over a month gives roughly 600,000 capacity. I’m thinking that using just under 10%( roughly) of that capacity to keep people safe is a pretty good use of that resource.

Reporting Scotland will be leading with the praise for NHS Scotland ( and by extension the Scottish Government ) from Gullane and Baillie , who will be unstinting in their admiration for the continuing good news story that is the Scottish Health Service .
