As you know BBC Wales loves to praise Wales when they hit a nice milestone whereas BBC Scotland prefer a more gravestone-like achievement in death.

Widely ignored today, Scotland has jagged 80% overall and 50% have been boosted. This puts Scotland 4th in the world:

Well done SNHS

Well done Scotland health system.
Bet DRossie and Starwars will find something not to their taste.
Knight of the Realm (astonishingly), Brian Donohoe in the Herald letters page, thinks Scotland needs to be as “open” with its spending as England.
Does that cover Test and Trace (£37 billion) or the £billions in covid contracts handed out by NHS England, to “friends and family” of Tories?
“Party Time for Downing Street” would be just fine with this idiot, who was one of the poorest quality Labour MPs at a time when there was lots of choice.

SnP did not say they had done it .
They said Scotland had reached a target of 50% booted and 70% vaccinated.
So sorry you missed the penalty.

A quick squint at what the BBC in Scotland really ARE promoting, with the usual signal of Comments open to allow Angus McTavish (Fred Micklewhite) from Oban (Watford) to get his last dig in before Christmas, I noted “Scotland’s nightclubs to close for three weeks from 27 December” and “Covid in Scotland: Self-isolation change ‘considered’ to tackle staff absences”.
In prime position of course is that intellectual giant and darling of the BBC, the mighty Forres Gump waxing lyrical with his “Scotland ‘too cautious’ on self-isolation, says Tory leader” kitsch.
Their main pitches however revert to their favoured comedy double act Little and Large, oops, sorry, spell-checker event, epidemic specialists Gulhane and Baillie for their familiar recital from Groundhog Day.
Are “the Broons” still being published, it’s got to be more accurate than the BBC.

The latest Covid-19 UK survey data from ONS published today for the period ending 16th Dec. Looks like the SG’s caution is paying off.
Main points:
In England, the percentage of people testing positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) increased in the week ending 16 December 2021; we estimate that 1,202,300 people in England had COVID-19 (95% credible interval: 1,146,800 to 1,263,000), equating to around 1 in 45 people.
In Wales, the trend in the percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 was uncertain in the week ending 16 December 2021; we estimate that 54,400 people in Wales had COVID-19 (95% credible interval: 44,300 to 65,500), equating to around 1 in 55 people.
In Northern Ireland, the trend in the percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 was uncertain in the week ending 16 December 2021; we estimate that 37,800 people in Northern Ireland had COVID-19 (95% credible interval: 29,100 to 47,700) equating to around 1 in 50 people.

Indeed, the British Nationalist media especially the ones pretending to be ‘Scottish’ would much rather report chaos and mayhem in Scotland, now that they cannot delight in the claim that Scotland is the ‘poor man of Europe’ nor that Glasgow is ‘crime capital’ of the universe etc.
It’s has always been the BritNat states’ nightmare since 1707 and no doubt well before, that Scotland could succeed, thrive and function well under their own steam and with their own choice of government to boot! The horror…
