Storm Barra arrived in north and north-east Scotland well after dark, last night, on Tuesday 7th, damaging the power supply at some point that night and yet not fixed by 8 the following morning. What do we pay these people for?

imho I can only speak for my immediate area but if power and rail coys could be a bit more proactive and cut down/lope trees that threaten power lines and rail tracks during the summer period we could possibly avoid this situation developing to the extent it did on this occasion.
