Scotland has now given a first dose to 71.6% while England has only managed 68.1% while, on second doses, the gap is smaller at 52.1% to 51.2%.

The UK Government was not available for comment. The Scottish Government was too polite to comment. BBC Scotland’s current health correspondent said ‘This is not in the public interest, so we’re not telling them and we do as we please.’
