Only the GMB with its long history of loyalty to anyone in dispute with the SNP, even the corporate care owners responsible for the many deaths in their ‘care’, is telling its members to refuse the pay offer but wait, is it really only 4% for most of their members?
Here is the actual offer:
The pay rise would ensure that staff on the pay bands 1 to 7 would receive at least a 4% pay rise compared to 2020/21, with the staff who earned less than £25,000 in 2020/21 getting a guaranteed minimum increase of over £1,000 in 2021/22. This means that staff on the lowest Agenda for Change pay point would get a 5.4% increase. Those on the highest pay points will receive uplifts of £800.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but the GMB does not represent the nurses and doctors who will get only 4% or even less. The GMB tends to represent workers on the lower pay bands who will get 5.4%.
When I see the letters GMB, I reach for my keyboard and the words ‘Gary Smith’ almost type themselves:
Looking at the pay offer, it’s another example of the more progressive taxation policy you’d expect from a left-of-centre government which, of course, the GMB and their pals in Scottish Labour so wish was not there.

Doctor’s are not included. They have their own pay review.

The workers will more than likely take the offer. Being pragmatic. They know people appreciate their efforts so much. The SNHS is one of the largest institution in Scotland, employing the most people.
A Gary Smith is always posting nonsense in the Newsquest publication criticising the SNP and the Independence movement. A lot of free time. The Scottish Gov Is responsible for advocating paying the wages.

Could this possibly be a wee distraction for their role in the ‘cleaners cleanout’? i mean unions cleaned out the cleaners and SNP paid them. Cost local taxpayers a lot to achieve that.
