This long-retired professor is a Unionist activist with no recent experience and is only ever interviewed by Scottish news media, but often. He recommends relaxing the the covid distancing rules because he wants us to follow suit with England and risk a second wave of death.

Prof Active Sridhar
This leading epidemiologist who worked on the Ebola crisis is interviewed everywhere across UK media. She has repeatedly praised the Scottish Government’s cautious approach to distancing and other hygiene and condemned the risk-taking of the UK Government which caused the first wave of unnecessary death.

Didn’t I see Pennington on a video clip from George Square at the weekend?
Perhaps I am mistaken, however it seems for unionists, protecting statues
seems to be more important than protecting people.

In Tory eyes closing Libraries is considered necessary but preserving statues of racists helps our understanding and education. Weird.

Devi Sridhar believes that government should try to eliminate the covid19 virus.
“If coronavirus is our generation’s polio, we might look towards the approach taken by governments in the Pacific. New Zealand has eliminated coronavirus, and Australia is inching closer to this goal. With border checks in place, people living in these countries can return to normal life. Sports matches are taking place in New Zealand, schools have reopened, weddings are being booked and people can safely see relatives.
The successes of New Zealand and Australia might force other countries to rethink their own strategies, and the feasibility of eliminating the virus within their borders.”

Pennington is likely to oppose such an approach as well as embracing greater risk.
