Pathetic political opportunism to score points over SNP with unreliable death statistics

Labour’s Monica Lennon in cahoots with the Herald’s Tom Gordon attempt to undermine Scottish Government policy in the face of overwhelming support for both it, the First Minister and the SNP.

The statistics they use do not indicate, crucially, whether or not these patients were infected before or after admission. The headlines are, as they stand, lies.

Even if there was evidence for the claims, these deaths would make up, according to Gordon, only 5.6% of all coronavirus deaths. The figure for England is estimated at nearly 20%.

The unreliability of the data make a call for an inquiry just another piece of political opportunism by Scottish Labour, all-too-familiar for those who remember Ana Sarwar’s nauseating exploitation of a heartbroken mother of a dead child to push for inquiry into a Glasgow Hospital.

  1. There is a place in hell reserved for them
And no escape route once independence pulls the trap door lever of the deck that they stand upon
Never ever can they possibly be excused
Unless they jump the sinking Ship of Fools
To board that very fine Ship of State the SS ALBA currently on the slipway launch
    Their fate awaits
