If we had shut the border years ago, we would have been able to protect ourselves from UK Government incompetence

Missed it yesterday behind the Scotsman’s paywall.

Right at the end, Prof Burns writes:

I’m coming to the conclusion that my friend David Hamilton was correct. If we had shut the border years ago, we would have been able to protect ourselves from UK Government incompetence.

I’m reminded of my own earlier suggestions of the same, regarding county lines drug gangs, measles epidemics, novovirus and listeria seeping north:

And, more recently, camper vans from Husbands Bosworth:

  1. Just a thought for you all.
    2 Questions from public
    1 From Robbie Savage
    5 from reporters
I just post this in regard to what the FM has to go through.
    Any thoughts anyone???

  2. And all this greatly nullifies
The only Ace held in the Union deck of scare cards all other cards for them are Jokers
So let them play the Need for a Border game
This virus blows their arguments dead in the water
They have navigated their Ship of Fools
    Straight into a massive mine
They are rudderless now in far more ways than one

    1. Re Milliband machine guns
      Quite the reverse possible
As the sun sinks below the horizon for a impoverished rump of what is left of UK
As they no longer have the 32% of UK asessts which Scotland will rapidly be developing
Along with the long term effects of the virus upon England
And not only that but considerably even more catastrophic consequential amplification of the impending climate changes
I fear terribly for England not only will it become increasingly dangerous for us
As it collapses and i am not being far fetched when i say there exits for England
A very high risk of very serious civil unrest
Spilling into a 2nd civil war for them
Rarely are collapsing Empires a orderly. Affair and more than capable of resulting in chaos
The classically educated such as Boris and Jacob Rees no doubt have such niggling in the back of their tiny minds

  3. I have a solution for Harry Burn’s problem with the TV.
Don’t watch the news from England (BBC/ITV).
It does wonders for the blood pressure and will save having to replace the telly.
