NHS Scotland A&E at least 20% better than NHS England

In week-ending 1st December, 81.2% of attendances at NHS Scotland A&E services were seen and resulted in a subsequent admission, transfer or discharge within 4 hours https://www.isdscotland.org/Health-Topics/Emergency-Care/Publications/2019-12-10/Summary-Weekly/index.asp In NHS England the figure was 67.89% https://inews.co.uk/news/health/nhs-england-covering-up-true-scale-of-12-hour-hospital-waits-1335856 These are RCEM figures released to the media. NHS England has not yet openly published data for November, never mind December. The Scottish figure 81.2% is thus 19.6% better than 67.89%. The gap may be even greater as NHS England restart the clock once the patient has been admitted whereas NHS Scotland count from arrival in A&E. https://inews.co.uk/news/health/nhs-england-covering-up-true-scale-of-12-hour-hospital-waits-1335856 Continue reading NHS Scotland A&E at least 20% better than NHS England

Are Zoophobic Scottish Lib Dems trying to undermine prison therapetic regimes?

Rennie and Cole-Hamilton being ‘goosed’ while campaigning hard. Rennie’s well-known irresistible appeal to sheeple? In a response to a FOISA request last week, we heard: http://www.sps.gov.uk/FreedomofInformation/FOI-6784.aspx We know from sources that most FOISA requests to the Scottish Prison Service come from the Lib Dems, as they seek muck that they can spread in the Reporting Scotland studios, so we can be fairly sure that they are behind this attempt to undermine the therapetic service based on dogs. Dogs as any owner will know, can detect a bad yin straight-off. Continue reading Are Zoophobic Scottish Lib Dems trying to undermine prison therapetic regimes?

You are MORE THAN TWICE as likely to spend more than 12 hours waiting in A&E in NHS England than in NHS Scotland

Headlined in the Telegraph yesterday and some time before NHS England will release even their November figures, here’s what the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) reported: RCEM data shows that in the first week of December over 5,000 patients waited for longer than 12 hours in the Emergency Departments of 50 Trusts and Boards across the UK. The sample of trusts and boards from across the UK is the equivalent to a third of the acute bed base in England. https://www.rcem.ac.uk/RCEM/News/News_2019/Latest_RCEM_data_shows_true_scale_of_the_number_of_patients_waiting_longer_than_12_hours_in_A_E.aspx In Scotland, 184 patients waited more than 12 hours in the week ending 24th November. The Rise and Fall of the Thought Control Scotland and Talking-Up Scotland Empires

Above, in suitably British pink, Talking-Up Scotland’s global penetration. Since the 25th August, when I archived Thought Control Scotland and launched the less Marmitey Talking-Up Scotland, things have shrunk a bit (the blog!). Some readers thought the name change might actually boost the audience because they had often hesitated to share posts, fearing they would be thought paranoid. Here’s the state of play under the rule of thought control in the first half of 2019: Ominous signs of collapse despite talking-up? And in 2018: And in 2017 we still had Greenland: Of course it may not have been anything to … Continue reading The Rise and Fall of the Thought Control Scotland and Talking-Up Scotland Empires
