Nonsensical ‘statistics’ from the Scotsman as attacks on fire crew resulting in injuries FALL by more than 57%

There’s the Scotsman’s headline. Here are the published figures:

Any fool knows that you can’t have a one-year trend. The trend over three years is for attacks on fire crew to be fairly static. I see no sign of figures on attacks being collected by SFRS before 2016/17 because they changed the way the data was collected then.

And, of course, what percentage of call-outs were attacked? SFRS don’t seem to collect this data either but there are nearly 8 000 staff.
