I think McKenna’s real gripe is simply that he absolutely hates the SNP and so he is determined to convince others to also hate them as well.
However he is choosing to express that hate by stooping very low.
Remember when McKenna spent time with the then Tory Councillor Thomas Kerr (who has now defected to Reform UK).
He was also “walking the streets” back then too.
He called Kerr “the most impressive Conservative I’ve ever encountered”.
Honestly if the people who live in Glasgow cannot see what the likes of McKenna and others , who also represent British Nationalist media, are all blatantly trying to do, then there really would be no hope for Glaswegians nor indeed for others who live within Scotland either.
McKenna ignores all of the S*** connected to the Tories, Labour and Reform UK just to falsely accuse the SNP as being those who have destroyed Glasgow (and Scotland).
McKenna is the kind of churnalist who would blame the SNP for not paying out , on what was a Labour scandal, in the fight for equal pay for women in Glasgow.
However we all know (as does McKenna) that the SNP inherited the historical pay inequalities from Labour when Labour were formerly in power in Glasgow council.
Then of course there is the biggest scandal and that scandal is the PFI scandal .
Not down to the SNP in any way but very very much down to Labour and the Tories as those to blame for that most shambolic and most expensive mess. (Started by the Tories but greatly expanded by Labour)
So yet again another thing left behind by British Nationalist parties for the SNP to yet again have to deal with and so try to sort out.
An expense that has caused millions of pounds of outstanding debt for Glasgow or is it more ?
As of 2026 – “recent reports state Glasgow City Council is millions of pounds in outstanding PFI debt“.
Actually incredibly The Herald ran a story on “Glasgow City Council faces tens of millions of pounds in annual PFI (Private Finance Initiative) payments and hundreds of millions in total remaining long-term liabilities from historical building projects”.
Does Kevin McKenna ever read The Herald ?
PFI and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) debt in Scotland is projected at being in the billions.
So really who is it to blame for “Reform UK being supposedly on the rise” ?
Well I would blame churnalists like Kevin , as well as most of the UK media but also very much those traditional parties like the Tory party and the Labour party who have both been UK governments.
As UK governments both Labour and the Tories are those who have been responsible for much of the decline and the complete mess that has happened within their UK State (and more so within Scotland).
Plus of course we have the big mess that is Brexit, that no one within the media wants to expose as a big mess. (mainly because that would then damage the political party that they support as a media).
The UK State is corrupt and unfit , as a State , for Scotland to still be a part of.
Simples.

Lay-off Kevin; he is hurting badly after certain events in Glasgow on Sunday.
He reached his churnalistic peak as a fairly average Editor of Celtic View. since when, like the rest of Scotland’s print journalism, he has been going downhill faster than Cyril Smith on a skeleton bob.
