  1. I also believe it was they who also gave original planning permission for the construction of a waste incinerator half a mile directly downwind of this, the largest hospital and children’s hospital in Scotland. Oh well.

It’s called the ‘South Side Energy Centre’. The building is extremely large and was given planning permission twelve years ago. It had limited consultation (a relatively small local area). I think the link above is to: dafty with a drone’s video. Nobody in authority seems put out by any of this. My PhD is on the environmental impacts of NHS Scotland’s buildings, energy, waste and water. I have no huge problems with modern incinerators, however, nothing is guaranteed and this one is huge and most definitely in the wrong place. Only an idiot would have given planning permission for this at that site. There will be no stopping it now, but if we ever converse on this you will discover, through experience, just how little respect I have for town planners. God forgive me but I used to have some of them attend my university lectures.

I have planning application and other documents for this projrct as well as the EIA. I can send them to you if you wish. I could post them to your email address.

Would you like to write a piece on this for us?

          1. John, I had a real problem with GMail and have lost the attachments. I have contacted original source in the hope they can be resent to me. I mainly want to read the EIA and EIS on this. If I do write a piece it will be aimed mainly at planning departments. All things considered, I still cannot believe this site was given permission for such a project. I live in the area and heard nothing about it. Most local folk had no idea what it was until recently. So much for ‘Meaningful Consultation’.

  2. It was also Labour health ministers Deacon, Chisholm (Chisholm did the final sign off in 2002) and Kerr (as part of Lib-Lab coalition) who signed off on Greater Glasgow Health Board’s plans to site the QEUH and RHCG across the road from Shieldhall Waste Water Treatment Works and contiguous with Shieldhall Waste Transfer Station. Even though the majority of contributors objected to placing a new hospital in the midst of sewage central in GGHB’s own April 2000 – September 2000 ‘consultation’. Everyone wanted the Cowglen Hospital site for the new Asclepieion. Lotsof new houses there now, wonder how that came about?!

  3. It was also Chaudhry Sarwar who was Labour MP for the area at that time (1997 – 2005), you know, nominated by Brown but thought by HMRC to be unfit to be a Lord…and in any case soon-to-be former British citizen and 38th then 40th Governor of Punjab, from 2013 to 2015 and from 2018 to 2022. You know, father of Labour Lord Sarwar of Narcissism. Proud Scots all 🤮

  4. Dirty, rotten, dangerous Labour. Not worried at all about the sick and the poor. Coining it in to line their own pockets. Unionists abuse and try to blame everyone else for their responsibilities. They make everything worse. Everything they touch turns to dust. Death and destruction everywhere.

The Labour Mafia’s legacy in Scotland. Masonic secret, illegal society. Dunblane, Iraq and Lockerbie kept secret for 100 years. To cover unionist corruption.
