BBC Scotland repost a story from BBC Wales but don’t just repeat the wording.

As you’ll see below, in Wales and in other parts of the UK unchanged, the wording is ‘Nine men in court over historical child sexual exploitation offences.’ BBC websites often share posts from across the UK but only BBC Scotland see it as an opportunity to talk Scotland down.

‘Two men from Scotland‘ they make sure we see but, do we know, are they ‘from Scotland?’

Here’s what BBC Wales tell us:

Nine men have appeared in court charged with a total of 41 historical sexual offences, relating to eight victims who were children at the time.

The men, aged between 54 and 76, were arrested in Newport, Swansea, London, Birmingham, Lancashire, Edinburgh and the Argyll and Bute area of Scotland earlier in July.

Gwent Police initiated Operation Oak after several women reported the abuse, which took place in south Wales between 1985 and 1996.

We do not know if these two men are from Scotland, in the sense of being Scots, or have moved here, perhaps to try to escape their crimes.

One of the men was arrested ‘in’ Birmingham but BBC Birmingham & Black Country, below, do not flag that:

Lancashire? Same:

London? No mention at all in the more than 50 reports posted.

Who knows what is going on in their little minds but when you add this to all their other attempts to report Scotland down, it’s either editorial policy or some kind of semi-conscious predisposition.
