BBC Breakfast‘s weather forecast this morning shows rain clouds moving across Nethy Bridge in the Cairngorms and threatening to help put out the wildfire. The English presenter links the two events but BBC Scotland is pretending it doesn’t know.

Still top story on their website and with the above dramatic images they so want to use though they’re now 33 hours old.
In an extended, 1 675 words, report, the word ‘rain’ foes not appear and there’s no reference to the changing weather that will surely be on the minds of the firefighters.
When it comes and when the firefighters respond to that, let’s see how/if they report it.

BBC today desperately trying to blame the SNP government for not tackling the fire and quoting on speed dial Bowie arch unionist to provide the obligatory SNP bad quote. Pathetic

Ex-Press and Journal photographer Mr McCook is the rentaquote for BBC Scotland regarding the wildfires in the Cairngorms.
To change the subject a little, if you go to the BBC Scotland Politics page, you will see that the first twelve articles are all related to ‘Scottish’ Labour: One is critical, one relates to relations with the SG, but all the rest are specifically about Labour in a UK context.. There is nothing relating to the Greens, Conservatives, Reform, LibDems.

BBC Hootsmon…….breaking news ………..
“Andy Burnham has kindly sent rain north of The North, to the “Caingoms”(sic) to quench the dastardly SNP flames, say Election Maestro Wee Dougie O’Mandelson. This story was confirmed and embellished by Baron Starwars, Lord O’ the Pochle”.
As Lord O’ the Pochle, Starwars has stated “we Brits stick together and share….we send rain to Scotland and they send oil, gas and ‘leckie to us in the saff”.

I suspect the police evacuated Nethy Bridge because of the urging of Sandy McCook to DO SOMETHING. His constituents will be delighted.
