Headlining on the Herald today, the above fantasy platforming the views of junior minister Michael Shanks (left) and of Ed Milliband.

Troubled former Modern Studies teacher, Shanks is still tasked with promoting the building of new small modular reactors in Scotland, regardless of Scottish Labour’s near extinction event in the last Holyrood election and the clear signs of a civil war in the branch, as Monica Lennon, the last living leftie there, leads a move to the left and to support for another independence referendum. Support for nuclear energy will not be in her plans.

  1. I know we don’t have petrol, diesel or aviation fuel any more, now that he has allowed Grangemouth to be mothballed. But SMRs won’t fuel cars.lorries and planes and we already have a surplus of electric power through renewables and hydro.

    Is this why GB Energy has a brass plate in Aberdeen? To hypnotise us into thinking all these policy decisions are for our benefit.

  2. (Michael )Shanks is an appropriate name for someone , like a poor golfer , who drastically goes off target when attempting a simple manoeuvre .

    He is clearly out of his depth as a junior minister but , like a loyal wee apparatchik , keeps repeating the message he has been sent to deliver to people who don’t know who the fcuk he is .
