There’s the result for the ‘shock’ Labour win over the SNP in the Western Isles.
BBC Scotland seem not to publishing the actual numbers, the raw data, though they do mention that, the winner:
MacKinnon, who works in community development and manages a community-owned trust in Carloway on Lewis, won by 154 votes.
Only 154?
I can’t help but wonder how many voted for Kenny Mackenzie of the Alliance to Liberate Scotland?
It was 159!
Am I alone in being frankly p****d off by that?

I agree – either self-entitled ego mania to get their name on the ballot paper or a deliberate attempt to muddy the waters.

No, you are not alone. I thought there were too many tiny parties taking votes away from the main contenders especially if they actually do want Scotland to be free from Westminster.
I feel time is running out especially with the rise of Reform. Nigel Farage as PM will cause untold damage.
SNP need to rebut the negativity from BBC, etc, try to educate people and encourage them to vote although how you change the minds of those who “always vote Labour because my father, grandfather, etc always voted for them” is a bit of a task. A blind man running for a bus could see through Sarwar and Baillie’s lies and don’t start me on Starmer😬

Swinney’s policy of both votes let Reform in and he was told and henknew but he didnit anyway. Now the unionists have a single entity to follow which will be promoted by the BBC

Are they an alliance to liberate Scotland from the SNP ?
So in this instance they have done their bit in helping a pro UK party, Labour, to win the seat and so then help hinder the cause of independence.
One of the things they state on their website is their mission to fight for “uniting pro independence candidates across Scotland under a single purpose, to end the Union and begin the rebirth of a free Scottish state”.
Well their mission failed in this constituency where they chose not to unite but instead they chose to contest against another “pro independence candidate” (SNP one) that resulted in them, ATLS, helping to hand the seat to a party (Labour) whose mission it is to try to maintain the Union and so destroy any hope or chance of there ever being a free Scottish State.
I suspect they may see this as half a victory in that they did their bit to stop the SNP winning the seat , though it does then leave them looking somewhat ridiculous, what with votes for them in this constituency helping to gain this seat for the Labour party, so not so much liberation for Scotland but more a case of their doing their bit to try to keep Scotland imprisoned in the UK State , in them aiding a pro UK party to gain a seat from the SNP.
So basically vote for ATLS and you may just get Labour (or another pro UK party) , who knew , well they, ATLS , must have known in this case , surely.

John, While I greatly admire your work with Talking Up Scotland, your blind support for the present-day SNP does upset me. Swinney and Co have no real interest in Independence; the SNP is now a pro-devolution party, their main focus, keeping their noses in the trough.
None of the Unionist parties will EVER AGAIN allow a Section 30 Order and a referendum – we will NEVER achieve Independence via this route.
There is greater likelihood of Independence via the ATLS route.
