Starmer and Farage on St George’s Day – ‘Today, we fly OUR flag proudly’ to ‘be English’ but he’s poor Lebanon’s patron saint too

By Liz S

Saint George's Day is the feast day of Saint George, celebrated by Christian churches, countries, regions, and cities from which he is the main patron saint, including EnglandEthiopiaGeorgiaCataloniaAragonPalestineRio de JaneiroAlcoi, and Genoa, and also where he is an important patron saint, including AlbaniaBosnia and HerzegovinaBulgariaGreeceLithuaniaPortugalRomaniaSerbiaSyria, and Lebanon

“Today, we fly our flag proudly and we’re reminded of the values it represents – service, generosity, and respect. When we stand together, united in our communities, we are stronger than any attempt to divide us. Happy St George’s Day”!

(So “our flag“.and “our communities“, what about other communities in other nations within the UK State , as surely many of them are also those with “values” too , as it is not a unique virtue of but one nation only ?).

Nigel Farage also did a ‘St George’s day’ message (kind of, but seemingly not so much) via a video , where he seemed to (falsely) suggest that somehow it was “frowned upon to celebrate being English”, Ha Ha , that’s amusing, oh and it’s also a LIE.

So once again Farage is sticking up for England , and England alone.

He said “It’s St George’s day , yes the 23rd of April, it’s our patron’s Saint day. And it’s a day we ought to celebrate. Everybody else does , the Irish go mad on it, Scots, Welsh that’s all considered acceptable but somehow celebrating the English is thought to be wrong by the establishment at WM. It’s not. And I’m going out celebrating and I’m going to do it in style. But you know we van go right back to Emily Thornberry , do you remember, she posted that picture of a St George’s flag on a white van in Rochester , as if to say ‘Oh these awful people, oh gosh isn’t Englishness ghastly’. And we have the fraud himself Keir Starmer today putting out a video saying ‘we’re the ones that really will defend the flag‘. And on St George’s day the Prime Minister does this address and doesn’t even once use the word England. Which shows you where he really stands. And now on the same day that we learn that the Attorney General Lord Hermer, who was doing everything he could to prosecute British soldiers on what was false charges of what happened in Iraq. And yet he knew that the charges were likely to be false yet carried on. This Prime Minister , this Labour government are the least patriotic we’ve ever had leading our country they’re an absolute disgrace and I hope they get the electoral hiding they deserve on the 7th May”.

I have highlighted points in bold that this Idiot has stated in what was more a party political broadcast to England than a celebratory message on St George’s day.

Such as where he thinks the “establishment at WM” somehow think it is “wrong to celebrate being English“, are you taking us all for Idiots Nigel ?

Also “defend the flag“, but what about his British flag or is that, to him, synonymous with the English flag , I’m guessing that’s a yes.

Which shows you where he, as a pretend politician, “really stands” , as Starmer as the UK PM , where should the person holding the office of UK PM “really stand”, would that be only “really stand” for England Nigel , just like You ?

British soldiers” ?

Sorry what has that got to do with a message celebrating the English Patron Saint , oh wait Nigel really wants to say ‘English soldiers’, but cannot just now as his pretend party are standing candidates (many of whom are Idiots) in the Scottish & Welsh elections.

our country” , wait is that England or the British State or UK State (if include NI) he is referring to ? (well Nigel sees both as being England really does he not).

Kemi Badenoch also added her message via video online:

“Happy St George’s day. Those of us who live in England should be proud to be a part of one of the greatest nations the world has ever known. But so many people aren’t. It’s because our history is being lost. We stopped teaching children about that wonderful heritage. Instead their history lessons now dwell on shame, on grievance on what went wrong. Rarely on what we got right. Rarely on who we are. That must change. That’s why as part of my Culture and Integration Commission I’ve asked Professor Robert Tombs to review the curriculum. To make sure our children will learn the full story of England and Britain and the British Empire. The triumphs alongside the trials. Alfred and the beginning of England. Nelson at Trafalgar. But we should go beyond that. How the British Empire came to be. About Wilberforce leading the fight to end the slave trade. Churchill standing against tyranny, saving the free world. So today on St George’s day my message is simple. Be proud , fly the flag. We live in a wonderful country , let’s celebrate it. Happy St George’s day”. (the background music was Jerusalem).

So where do you start with her, Badenoch’s, message also morphing between England and Britain, with her noting that “We live in a wonderful country , let’s celebrate it. Happy St George’s day” , but what about living in the UK State, ?

Also teaching children about English history and the British Empire with perhaps certain chunks of history missing that demonstrated the ruthlessness and cruelty of formerEnglish Kings and also the British Empire , in other words a sanitised version with many omissions.

You know they are all obviously entitled to celebrate their patron saint as they are all English, however they should all stop ramming down the throats of others who share their UK State, a command that we others in Scotland, Wales & NI all pledge allegiance to their British State and so then must become British Patriots (another term for British Nationalist).

While simultaneously they are all pretending to be concerned about the lack of English patriotism (only) within many English people . AS While they are all active in seeking to supress any pride and patriotism in people from the other nations within the UK State.

It seems for them that others within the UK State must always be proud to be British (only) , while they themselves focus and obsess upon the supposed lack of pride within many in England on their Englishness.

That’s why the British and UK State does not work, it is them, the politicians, who confuse people in each nation, with their incessant obsession with Britishness.

I am Scottish not British , simples.

(BTW to all decent and fair minded English people I sincerely say ‘Happy St George’s day’ to you , my gripes are not with English people but with those who serve them so badly as politicians and also let’s be honest I have major gripes with the pathetic and compromised UK media as well).
