In August 2025, BBC Scotland‘s Phil Sim in Does Reform pose an existential threat to the Scottish Conservatives?, wrote:
Polling guru Prof Sir John Curtice has said the party “poses a significant threat to the Conservatives and Labour’s prospects at Holyrood too“. It feels a bit like the way Labour was pulled apart in the aftermath of the 2014 independence referendum, losing support at both ends of the spectrum.That could mean a straight transfer of seats from the Conservatives or Labour to Reform, but it is not inconceivable that others could be impacted too.
The above is based on Curtice’s research and so has a bit of credibility.
Yesterday David Wallace Lockhart, in Is Jeremy Corbyn’s party about to make a Holyrood breakthrough? is keen to use Curtice to validate his own ideas but is very careful to completely omit what Curtice has said about Reform UK hurting Labour.
Instead, we read:
Neil Findlay thinks Your Party could secure backing from more surprising quarters – Reform supporters. The former MSP says that those inclined to back Nigel Farage’s party are not necessarily right-wing. He explains that he sees them as frustrated people “looking for an avenue for their vote because they see the mainstream parties as having let them down”.

Here is their , BBC’s, job in Scotland…..#SNPBAD and #LabourGood
In England it was and still is #CorbynBad and now also anyone else that they try to link to Corbyn is also #Bad…like say the new left wing leader of the Green party in England……Zack Polanski.
BBC Newsnight last night , saw Victoria Derbyshire interview the newly elected leader of the Greens in England, Zack Polanski, and already , as in it has already started, she asked him if he had been in contact with….Jeremy Corbyn…..(this will be a recurring situation from the BBC and also others within the media when he , Polanski, is interviewed from now on).
Now today in The Telegraph there is an article with a headline:
“Polanski’s win is a dark moment for British democracy”
(What ‘British’ democracy would that be….the same one that rags like The Telegraph try to influence via their #S**** and partisan pieces masquerading as political news) ?
Then the right wing political and media’s nominated ‘Bogeyman’, Jeremy Corbyn , is then referred to in this article , in respect to this win for Polanski as the new Green party leader in England, as being “echoes of entryism , Corbynistas have taken charge of the Green party, Politics will turn uglier”.
So they, the right wing press, are really going with a guilty by association….though what he and Corbyn have to be guilty about is simply that they , as new party leaders in England , offer a real alternative to voters in England from parties like Reform UK , the Labour party and the Tories…who are all, as current parties, peddling the same rhetoric and similar policies to the people/voters in England…..with the Lib Dems seen as a protest vote for those voters who cannot bring themselves to vote for any of the aforementioned main political parties….(though worth noting how popular the Lib Dems are in Tory areas…mostly ).

As if “Politics” do indeed “turn (any) uglier” in her ‘country’, England, then it is well and truly rubber ducked……as a country.
This writer BTW has a stint on SKY News paper review each week….so one can only imagine her perspective on the papers when she reviews them…..another #propaganda opportunity outwith her right wing media newspaper employer.
Zach Polanski has only just won the leadership of the Greens in England and already the knives are out for him……..that is what fear from the right wing looks like…..they do the same in Scotland with the SNP.
As anyone who threatens their preferred chosen political party from potentially winning…..or anyone trying to destabilise their status quo from remaining intact as a status quo…. then they, as political parties, all become the target for the right media and also the right wing parties like Reform UK, Labour and the Tories, to constantly attack…..and then also be those promoted as the political baddies in their UK politics.
Of course if more voters finally woke up they would then realise that the real Bogeymen are the UK media , who as a UK media, do their best to manipulate those voters who are way too easily swayed by the media’s sensationalism, the media’s lies, the media’s corrupt practices and also the fact that they , as a UK media, are hugely compromised by their allegiance to a specific political party…..while also they , as a UK media, are unfit to be truly objective about other political parties who are in opposition to their favoured political party…. in all their supposed media political coverage within their UK……
The real dark days for their UK is when we constantly see article’s like the above mentioned one , from a right wing rag like The Torygraph…..but that is all that rags like them have to offer ……because truth is not on offer , nor honesty nor any non politically partisan opinions…..as that would then perhaps mean parties like the SNP in Scotland and also then Corbyn and Polanski’s parties in England would do so much better in elections while all of the other parties would be where they all deserve to be……at the bottom.

Indeed Bob…the media in the UK applaud and promote those political parties who seek to defend and so then ensure that those with (real) money….both retain their (vast) wealth or better still greatly increase it…
It’s that baloney that they like to call ‘trickle down economics’…..
Trickle being the operative word…..
But actually , a more apt description , is that they, the wealthy, get to both keep and increase their wealth so it is really more a case of ‘Wealth retention economics’, while we mere plebs are expected to relinquish what (little) money we have, that is , money which we cannot afford to relinquish , which then results in a depletion of what (little) money we have….to spare….and so spend on ourselves and our families.
Centre Right and Far right parties are the UK media’s favoured political parties…while any sniff at those ‘other’ parties representing the Left ….well they are then demonised , by the UK media, as being those who want to take away all of your money in taxes, adopt woke policies, implement a cancel culture and give everything to Migrants….and who the UK media say are not fiscally responsible as a potential UK government……
#WheeshtForToryAndLabourUK-Economic-Failures……the proof is out there on that.
While the UK media’s obvious approval of centre right and Far right parties is then demonstrated by how they, as a UK Media ,always treat their favourite parties.
So then what does the UK media think Centre Right and Far right parties are ?

Some of these parties being lauded by some of the UK media…..want to either introduce or reinstate S**** times for all of us .
Including we who are those ordinary people who seek to be compassionate, decent , empathetic and so those of us , who are kind and most welcoming to all people….no matter who they are or where they are from…..originally.
However some of the UK media’s favoured political parties want to…..
Either introduce more privatisation within the NHS (or get rid of it completely to replace it with an insurance based system).
Also want there to be a UK that has far lower taxes for the wealthy (a trickle of taxation even),
Adopt policies that advantage the wealthy more , while disadvantaging ,as in harming, us mere ordinary souls
They also want bring back the Death Penalty (too bad if you, at a later stage, are then found to be innocent, as you will now be dead….but innocent).
Bring back Fox Hunting (that well know working class ‘sport’ where as a working class person you buy the Horses, put them in your stables , or pay for them to be stabled and also buy the special outfit to wear on Hunt day etc)
Will force us all to live in a UK where nothing is deemed to be offensive or considered to be an exploitation of others…..compared to their assumed God given right to to be grossly offensive towards others that they oppose, in their supposed need for them (alone) to have their (disgusting) free speech that then reinforces ‘Only (some) White Lives Matter’ (indeed the more racist, offensive, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, bigoted etc you can be…. the better)
Then seek to target Migrants , who then will be persecuted, deported and so will be sent back to from whence they came…to then be murdered………….by the regimes that exist in their own countries….so basically no refuge to be found in the S*** UK ….that the media often states is a charitable ‘country’ (UK State).
If we had a UK media that did it’s job then Farage and his many pretend parties would be exposed for who they truly are and what they truly represent….which is very much Hate over Hope…….but we do not , so instead the system that the UK media operates by is one….that then helps to promote, reinforce , repeat and so then attempts to brainwash us all into believing that Reform UK are the answer to all of the UK’s woes…..so they, the UK media, also then choose to highlight the same S*** , whenever it is touted by both Labour and the Tories when they adopt the exact same attitude and Hate as Farage’s Reform UK party…..thus they, Labour & Tories, are also endorsing Hate over Hope…..
Which for this UK State, via it’s politics and it’s media , is then 100% a true reflection of what it really is and what is represents as as ******* S*** UK State.
In the UK…….
The Good guys are #BAD
The Baddies are #Good
While the media , via a majority, in this UK are so S***…..at their jobs….it is amazing more people do not come out in force and so protest against them as a media….as being the real enemies of their UK State….and also very much the enemies of decent people in all nations within the UK State…..especially us in Scotland.

When meeting up with an old school friend recently he told me he only watches the news these days. I thought for a moment to pass on a link to TUS but being in his 70’s now and with a heart condition thought it would likely put him over the edge if he knew what is really going on in Scotland.
