Chronic pain treatment levels now even higher than before pandemic but you’d never know that if you relied on BBC Scotland’s Fiona Stalker

Professor John Robertson OBA

From Public Health Scotland today:

During the quarter ending 30 September 2024, 5,315 patients were referred to a consultant-led chronic pain clinic. This is an increase of 2.8% compared to the previous quarter, when 5,170 patients were referred. Referrals to a chronic pain clinic are now higher than during 2023, when on average 4,990 patients were referred each quarter. Referrals are also higher than the levels seen prior to the COVID-19 pandemic when on average 5,197 patients were referred each quarter during 2019. https://www.publichealthscotland.scot/publications/chronic-pain-waiting-times/chronic-pain-waiting-times-quarter-ending-30-september-2024/

BBC Scotland haven’t reported on chronic pain since 2020 when they found three folk travelling south for it after Fiona Stalker (sic) used a Labour activist as an example. See:

  1. I think we all know where all of the real “Chronic pain” is coming from and that is from the likes of those who fail to report the actual news where we are, as in BBC employees like Fiona Stalker and also her employer the BBC, who are very much a dominant part of the British media and thus the flow of propaganda we are often painfully subjected to in Scotland from them as a so called media is criminal.

Indeed MSM Monitor tweeted this in March of this year 2024:

“Today wasn’t the first time Fiona Stalker had parroted Labour’s ‘Change’ slogan and claimed it was why folk voted Labour in Rutherglen. She did the same thing last October. Stalker is married to the former prospective Labour candidate in Rutherglen. She cannot use her BBC show to push Labour slogans, which is clearly what she is doing”

This was in reference to a link he attached to his tweet, in relation to a radio programme hosted by her, Stalker, where she was speaking about the by-election win for Labour in Rutherglen Hamilton & West and where she said:

“It was interesting speaking to the people in the streets of Rutherglen the morning after (the by-election), because they spoke about, they just wanted change. They wanted a change. They were fed up with the governments and they said governments” (this was her, Stalker, emphasising it was also the Scottish government as well as the UK government that they, the people, were apparently “fed up with”).

Of course one of the main reasons people might be fed up with the Scottish government is because of MSM like the BBC who are always targeting the Scottish government as being incompetent and negligent .

Then of course the BBC also choose to never ever communicate or reiterate the many benefits we the public in Scotland gain from the SNP as the Scottish government.

Also the same BBC never give the same scrutiny to those other parties in opposition to the SNP, in fact the BBC do the opposite , as in they promote , protect and support the other parties in opposition to the SNP.

Then she, Stalker, continued in saying “That’s a difficult one for the SNP to tackle as they (public) didn’t speak about policies, they (public) just spoke about , we just want a change“.

Now of course we all know “Change” is the main slogan for Labour and Fiona Stalker is making sure that the public outwith Rutherglen H & W can then link change , as a (false) perception, only to Labour as a political party and not to the SNP.

Also note how she states it is “difficult” only “for the SNP” but she failed to note it was also difficult for the UK Tory government when according to her the people in Rutherglen stated they were “fed up with the governments” as in plural.

Of course if the people in Rutherglen had known about the poor performance of that other government in Wales , as in the Labour Welsh government, then perhaps they would not have chosen to vote for Labour in their constituency, as it surely then would have been obvious to them that the only change with Labour is a change for the worse.

Perhaps others should now also be seeking out the opinions of those same Rutherglen voters and see if they, as voters who voted for Labour twice in the by-election in October 2023 and then again in the GE in July 2024, can now, as voters, name or list any “changes” made by Labour that have benefitted them the people of Rutherglen, since electing their Labour MP twice.

I’m thinking they, Rutherglen voters, might now be at the stage of feeling very “fed up” with their new constituency Labour MP and also with the new Labour “UK government” far more than the “Scottish government” which is known as voters (buyers) remorse.

If they are not, then we need look no further than who , as a media, it is who is gaslighting them and so obscuring their sense of reality in respect to politics, that would of course be the BBC that I am referring to. (and their obvious partisan employees like Fiona Stalker).

  2. Having just watched (nae suffered ) yet another barrage of ‘very bad’ A&E headlines on STV today just thought I would add this which possibly many of your followers will already have seen. The figs are from 2023 but I suspect they are pretty similar to each nation’s comparitive performance for this year as well. Scotland’s NHS way ahead of the others by a considerable margin

  3. Yet another classic revelation from our wonderful media … BREAKING NEWS AND WARNINGS OVER BINGE DRINKING …people will be drinking more over the festive period!!!!!. Who would have thought that but again more doom and gloom for Scots that we should even THINK about enjoying ourselves against all the very very very SNP bad news that we have to contend with.
