I have a google alert for ‘county lines.’ Every day I get links to media reports on that, across England and Wales. I haven’t had one by a Scottish media outlet.
BBC Scotland have not mentioned them since 2021, and only once then.

I live in Cumnock, next town along, about a mile from Auchinleck. The protests were local communities rallying against drug dealing gangs “cuckooing” in the houses of people in the area. Auchinleck, Cumnock and Catrine I have heard specifically. These gangs are purported to be from the Bradford area. Some of the things they are alleged to have done are,
giving young girls drugs then photographing them in indecent poses while they are “out of it”. We are talking 13 / 14 year olds
locking two young boys in a room to fight , the winner gets free drugs
making a young woman put a firework in her trouser pocket and setting it off in exchange for drugs
threatening to rape and groping women on the street
The police have been present in riot gear as the protests could quite easily turn very nasty but as previously stated the context of why these protests and gatherings are taking place are not being reported.
There’s clearly a gap here between what locals know and what our MSM is prepared to talk about if it might be seen to be racist or to weaken the case for the Union. Imagine if these were Scottish drug gangs terrorising small town England. You can see the headlines without much thought.

Yep…as if they, as a significant factor, did not exist and thus contribute to much of the causes of the problems reported by that same BBC on Scotland’s ‘Drug problem’……
“The news where we are” albeit some of the significant parts of that news is being omitted by the BBC in Scotland who supposedly, but clearly do not, give us all of the “news where we are”…..indeed the public in Scotland are surely ‘allowed’ to know who and where much of the drugs in Scotland are being supplied from…..would the BBC in England be as reticent in not including that same information if drugs in England causing a problem for them were established to be sourced via Scottish county lines drug gangs…..
There is indeed a drought of facts and truths that the British broadcasting Corporation in Scotland are guilty of excluding from stories that they themselves promote as significant matters and thus they sensationalise these stories…..and also they seem to infer that the government in Scotland are largely responsible for these issues arising and continuing…… in what they , the BBC (and others), have decided is due to a lack of action being taken by our government…..meanwhile we also see, via the BBC in Scotland, a drought of news in respect to the success in the decline of Knife crime in Scotland due to the work of Scotland’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) and where Knife crime in England , as a serious and growing problem, is, as an issue , one that has as yet not been seen to be declining in England indeed the reverse has been the case…..indeed where the Tories as the UK government have failed to address this tragic issue and so far have not sought to follow what Scotland has done which, as an initiative, has proven to be a successful strategy……
However one is expected to note that when there is any issue/problem that exists in England then the circumstances reported and indeed the Tories themselves claim that the blame always lies elsewhere……no accountability or responsibility is taken by the UK government or the respective government minister…….but across the border and into Scotland……it is always…..#SNPBAD….and they are doing it deliberately too.

Thérèse Coffey is a former Tory government minister…..the Jury is still out on that one as to why that ever happened….though actually some of the Jury concluded on it a long time ago…..in 2023 Coffey was criticised for suggesting people struggling to afford food could work for more hours to help buy food as well as suggesting people eat turnips instead of Tomatoes during a shortage of salad vegetables in the UK….was she competing with 30p Lee in seeing who , via a Tory MP, could come up with the most impractical, insensitive and frankly insane ideas that would , as suggestions, help no one during what was their own party’s instigated and non rectified cost of living crisis……and as for her, Coffey’s, “Turnip” suggestion then tis obvious she was as incompetent a cook as she was a government minister ……did she also suggest , for the wealthy, replacing the drinking of Dom Perignon champagne for a bottle of cheaper Prosecco…..my money is on that being a NO…as the wealthy do not have to scrimp and save with the Tories in power…..as with the Tories in charge their wealth increases…..while these same Tories dictate how wasteful and unresourceful the poor are in not being able to make that much owt of nowt…….
I mean if we are talking “Birds” then have we not seen many a Tory try to ‘Feather their own nest’ while casting aspersions on the poor in their supposedly failing to make their meagre ends meet……so which one , Tory, will next say ‘Let them eat cake’ which as a quote has been disputed but that won’t stop a Tory from perhaps repeating it…..(not a special cake just a shop own brand one….)
Vote SNP in the next GE…..show them you are not sheeple easily manipulated and brainwashed by the opposition parties to the SNP and too their, opposition’s, client media…..

Perhaps , and this is only me speculating , perhaps BBCScorchedland is so short of funds due to many , many Scots refusing to pay the Gaslighting Tax that they do not have the ”journalists” to cover this ”County Lines ” story .
Or ,they are just being unionist propaganda ar*eholes !
