Is new Scottish ‘transphobic’ teacher union named after the joke song ‘A boy named Sue?’

Launched by Abertay lecturer, Brexit candidate and Jordan Peterson wannabe, Stuart Waiton, The Scottish Union for Education, SUE, made me laugh.

Waiton is openly opposed to the Scottish Government’s gender recognition reforms, has defended the rights of families to put their children through gay and transgender therapy. They latter has been condemned as torture by the UN.

In the light of the above views, I’m surprised and entertained by his choice of name for a new teacher union which has as a key aim to oppose children debating transgender issues – SUE.

Why?

  1. He will be a “go to” ‘leading educationalist’ for BBC Scotland. In his various guises over the years, BBC Scotland have given him a fair bit of air time.

  2. I was thinking of setting up MY own Union , too ! That way I can be certain of a prominent position in its management and ensure that its Mission Statement follows my OWN prejudices !
