Major recovery of A&E waiting times in Scotland despite big increase in demand

Bookies give 100 to 1, Lisa Summers won’t be reporting this.

In the week-ending 22 January 2023, NHS Scotland saw 70.1% of patients within 4 hours, up from 63.9% in the previous week and 57.2% in the week before that.

This was not due to falling attendance but an increase from 20 685 to 21 517 in the last week.
