In the Scotsman today Alex Cole-Hamilton writes:
I’m writing this with a smile on my face. For the first time since 2007, the Scottish Liberal Democrats have taken a significant step forward in Scottish local authority elections. We’re back and it feels amazing.

What is he talking about? This:

So, the Tories lose 63 and their near equivalents, the Lib Dems, only take 20. Labour also take 20 and the SNP take 23 Tory wards. How on earth does he imagine this to be some kind of revival?
Quite simply; he has to if he is to carry on.

It’s all gimcracks and testiculations with the Lib dems . At least Cole Hamilton has the wit not to fool around (like Rennie ) with animals and risk getting tupped by rams . A kid -on magnum of Champagne should be fairly foolproof .

Because these parties cannot differentiate between the UK and Scotland. It’s their wins in England he is celebrating not his questionable performance in Scotland.

‘… Tory voters would not vote for Labour’.
Except in Westminster elections in Edinburgh South where both Tories and Lib Dems seem content to vote Labour.
From The Scotsman back in 2010: ‘City councillor Ian Murray has been chosen to take over as Labour’s general election candidate in marginal seat Edinburgh South, where long-serving MP Nigel Griffiths is standing down.’
‘Mr Griffiths had a majority of just 405 over the Liberal Democrats at the last general election, making the seat one of the most marginal in Scotland. But Cllr Murray claimed the Conservatives were now the main challengers.’
And what has happened ever since is well known! But then Tories and Lib Dems voting for ‘Labour’ and for ‘Ian Murray’ involve factors other than the values and policies of these political party – except one!

Revival ?….He better hope he can still keep Emma Walker’s stories quiet then…….and also her stories about Willie Rennie and the Lib Dems too…….pretty shocking…..would be swapping ‘Revival’ with ‘Reviled’……allegedly.
