Disloyal Scotland gets Queen booster from BBC

A Game of Thrones-like story headlines the BBC Scotland and England websites but does not feature at all in those for Wales or Northern Ireland.

There’s a decision behind this, operating perhaps at a sub-conscious level. A Scottish editor just knowing it was the ‘right thing to do.’ Welsh and Irish editors just knowing it wasn’t.

Ironically or perhaps predictably, the decision to promote the monarchy in Scotland is against the background of it being the only part of the UK with a majority for abolition, 52% to 28%, compared to a UK average of only 29% to 50% for retention: https://www.jlpartners.co.uk/polling-results

We saw the same in April 2021, when BBC Scotland kept the tributes to Prince Phillip going as the other BBC sites moved on:

  1. Always remember as /The National Anthem and still to date has a line in it
    That officially remains
“Rebellious Scot,s to Bloody Crush ”
And when Elizabeth crowned as required she has to acknowledge the Scottish crown, which was in clear sight of her
And she merely with the tiniest of head nod acknowledged
It seems that words and actions regards this can only be working in a symbiotic fashion,How does one crush that you barely acknowledge, but such clearly demonstrates that The English crown and State reserve the right to enact what is written upon Their Prized song sheet
As my Grandfather and my Dad drilled into me
“Doff you cap to nobody “

  3. QE 11—relevant only to English history.

Prince of Wales–the title adopted for the heir to the English throne, and sticking it to their first colony.

Duke of Rothesay—a title only relevant to the heir of a Scottish monarchy— the title of “Prince of Scotland” could have been used—- but not by an English royal family.

  4. I am convinced, the timing of this announcement was deliberate. The Conservative Party – the party of the British Establishment is in deep doo-dah, through the actions of its leader.

I can see Boris, down on his kneews at the weekly audience: “Please, Your Majesty, can you come up with a wee diversion which will be picked-up by the media to divert attention away from my parties and my lies? One which might also take attention away from your second son’s problems.”

“Consider it done Boris, I’ve been holding this one back for a wee while.”

  5. I don’t suppose you appreciate the dark humour in that screenshot of the page, look at the last item bottom right…

We must also remind ourselves that part of BBC in Scotland’s propaganda squad remit from the Scotland Office is to crowd stories OFF the page…

  6. When Her Maj asked us Scots to think very carefully about independence during the 2014 referendum,I did and decided that an independent Scotland will have no need of a feudalistic unelected head of state,at least not one that has any significant powers.
An independent Scotland must be a republic with an elected head of state and no more foreign interference in our affairs.
If the laws of your country are made to the benefit of a specific family and their friends, usually of no real benefit to the population, then any claims to being a democracy are void.
