Jobs for pals?

Anas, as bright as ever, forgets:

These Scottish Labour Lords:

Brendan Hynes on Twitter: ". Don't ever let it be said that Unionist Labour in Scotland Has a lack of ambition… https://t.co/JM7TdvWZ6H"

Or the inflated council contracts for cousins and pals, from people like this guy:

Over to you, reader.

  1. In the Guardian, this week a Labour strategist, trying to find a ‘narrative’ -any ‘narrative’, since they have heehaw ‘narrative’ – was advocating that Labour adopt a more overtly ‘green’ attitude. Now we have Scottish Labour issuing a Scotland Office derived propaganda piece under Labour livery.

The dwindling band of Labour voters who actually have some redistributive, equitable, humane values must be despairing at this vacuity within the party.

  2. As ever, the negativity, avoiding stating the ADDITIONAL cost in favour of implying much worse a la Juan Kerr’s “Million pounds” frothing before rightly being eloquently slam dunked by the FM.
As for the “old pals” jibe, the hypocrisy could not be more evident, but what do the public see in all these theatrics ?
I very much suspect the general public long for proper debate in it’s body politic, instead of this relentless and ultimately pointless mud slinging.

    1. I was thinking along those lines when seeing news about the upcoming Canadian elections, people fighting each other for power, by promising this and that, opposing the others, for the sake of it. As Nicola Sturgeon indicated at Holyrood, the parties not in power, sitting with their twisted faces and shouting rubbish, instead of arguing and opposing decent helpful policies, could agree to disagree and work with the government for the betterment of the people of Scotland.

I think the gist of what she was saying was, given pandemic, and climate change is it really all they have, to argue and shout about everything the Gov is doing to mitigate for these major issues we now face?
I think the twisty faces of the BritNats are here to stay…

    1. A £Billionaire Tory councillor. Firm got Council contracts. Overcharged the rate consistently. Some mistake? Did the monies ever get returned. Tory 3rd loser MSP elected to the Institution they want to destroy. Tried to get through plans to illegally build houses on their considerable lands.

The reason they are in politics to rip off the public purse.

Tory unionist graft and corruption legendary. Just look all around. Breaking International Law. Illegal wars. Brexit Ref corruption. The only reason the unionists get in power is for graft and corruption. Public monies and resources consistently wasted. Most of them should be in jail.

Breaking the Law with impunity. Making the Laws and breaking the Law. Killing and maiming Millions. Wasting and misappropriating £Trns. PPE, Trident, Hinkley Point, HS2. The list is endless. Tory unionist corruption. The Tory slush fund. Illegal public contracts of no value for them and their associates. Tory unionists donors. Illegal donations.

Scottish revenues and resources mismanaged and misappropriated. Total corruption kept secret under the Official Secrets Act. Iraq, Lockerbie, Dunblane kept secret for 100 years.

  3. There are more unelected Peers in each of the Brit Nat “Scottish” parties than MP’s.
Says it all—a ermine reward (for life) for selling out their ain folk!

If that sounds harsh, ask yourself—how many of these Lords, Barons and Dames will leave their highly subsidised, cushy lives in London to come home to Scotland?

  4. The illegal ACC Alliance. Wasting £Billions like there is no tomorrow. Spending £Millions (£200million) building empty shops and Offices. Not funding essential services. Ruining the City creating traffic chaos. Creating the biggest mess possible. £Millions in debt. Illegally sold the City on the stock market. Refused a £80Million gift to pedestrianise and regenerate the City Centre. A project affordable and supported by the public.

  5. John, don’t forget the Labour Lasses! This list may not be exhaustive – Baroness Adams of Craigielea, Baroness Bryan of Partick, Baroness Helena Kennedy of the Shaws QC, Right Honourable Baroness Helen Liddell of Coatdyke, Baroness Elizabeth Smith of Gilmorehill, and Baroness Clark of Kilwinning, on “sabbatical” from the House of Lords and now acting as Katy Clark MSP.

  6. I think we could also just add one word, TRIDENT. You, the people of Scotland are billed massively for those WMD’s, and all the other deadly weapons forced on you by the country next door, and that ain’t a few £mlns, it’s £billions upon billions and it’s truly sickening.
