Covid testing system working well in Scotland

So, English media find things going pretty well in Scotland but, of course, BBC Scotland and their feeders have a different tale to tell:

Badly wrong? I think we know who’s badly wrong.

  1. That was back in August. They have gone very quiet since then when it was made clear that:
    a) the booking site was the responsibility of the UK Gov and like every bit of IT they touch it was not working properly and no one seemed to know, or be bothered, about fixing it
    b) the sites where samples are collected and the labs where the samples are tested were buckling under the pressure. Samples were being sent to Germany for testing. Earlier in the pandemic – May – there were also problems with the labs and samples had to be sent to the USA for testing. But then what can you expect when you put an Accountancy firm in charge and give them a nice fat contract to boot.

As in March we are once more in the position where Hancock and Co are talking about restricting testing.
