Calls for BBC Scotland to apologise for hospital accusations

Though the Record’s churnalists still managed to extract the negative, BBC Scotland did manage to squeeze in a wee recognition of the truth:

A report has said there were a “series of problems” with the design and build of a Glasgow hospital campus – but no clear evidence to link those failures to any “avoidable deaths“.

But, don’t get carried away, there’s still this:

The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital opened in 2015, but fears were raised after deaths were linked to infections. An independent review concluded that some patients had been “exposed to risk that could have been lower”.

before, sort of of admitting the truth:

However, it found no “sound” evidence that there had been “avoidable” deaths.

Will there be an apology for these dishonest images and headlines last year?

Don’t hold your breath.

  1. The only thing Colonial lackeys understand is Money
Do not pay the licence fee and if a good large no.of the Yes movement do so
Then they will truly be sorry
And no need for them to say so
No accident that their pockets are in such
Close proximity to their Groin and that is exactly why it will hurt them

  2. BBC Scotland STILL managed to cast doubt on the report wheeling out the aggrieved to push their case. They are incorrigeable!

  3. I noticed the BBC are going to do a Disclosure investigation/programme on this issue. Clearly they have not learned anything from the comprehensive debunking of their Disclosure of their Nike/Edinburgh outbreak programme.

    1. It is of no consequence that they will be telling massive porkies to attempt to further demonise and harass Scotland’s health minister and the SNP government. They want rid of Jeanne Freeman, and ultimately, they want rid of Nicola Sturgeon, two women doing an amazing job who are a massive threat to the Britnats’ UK.

Their target audience are those who still believe the BBC lies, even when they have facts telling them otherwise. Plenty people stuck inside, nothing to do but watch BBC, the time is ripe for bumping up the BBC to go full on gas lighting the people of Scotland.

  4. Tell me of a ‘risk’, any risk, that could not be lowered!

“… but fears were raised after deaths were linked to infections” – that was someone’s contention, and that is why an enquiry was commissioned.

Reporting on enquiry findings that refutes the contention in this way may be acceptable from a partisan, commercial news source but it is wholly unacceptable – candidly, an abuse – when it comes from the public service broadcaster.

This BBC reporting is contrary to the public interest: it is – can only be – motivated by a political agenda or at the very least by a malign (harmful in nature or effect) organisational culture.

  5. Not a hope, they will continue to attempt resuscitation of their failed smear campaign with the support of any hacks faithful to their “cause”…
At least two said hacks at yesterday’s update asked if in light of the review the FM would apologise… Milly….parents still seeking answers….not contacted during the review…..etc., etc..

NOBODY with an ounce of integrity could interpret this independent review and report in the manner they have, only those with a political agenda could do so. To have 3 separate news organisations on the exact same track smacks of collusion or orchestration by a third party.
