Coronavirus cases ‘soar’ DOWN in Heraldland

Not for the first time a Herald writer has used ‘soar’ in a headline when the number of new cases falls.

There were 197 new cases in the previous 24 hours. In the 24 hours before that there had been 273 new cases so that’s a fall in the number of new cases, isn’t it?

And the 13 ‘further’ deaths, is that good, bad, big, small? See this graph:

That tell you anything of interest to your readers?

Does the Herald need to go back to school? See these previous failures to add up or down:

  1. “Does the Herald need to go back to school?”

Not the school. The lavvy or chippy. The standard of mainstream? journalism in Scotland is below juvenility.

  2. Oh yes they do need to go to school, but no need to leave just relocate them from the one titled
    Coital Bovine Scatology
    To one titled
    Realty as it is

  3. It’s certainly a verty topsy turvy world in the media Britnat-land that’s for sure. Down means up, good means bad, so I guess right is left, and left is right as well.

We have been through the looking glass for some time now…thankfully more and more in Scotland know this rag and their pals really do hate the SNP for not allowing more people to die in Scotland, by not following the Britnat government line.

It’s not fair the Britnat rags have to go through all sorts of hoops and conjure all sorts of word contortions to get their SNP bad messages out these days! Must be hard work eh!
