Why did the Scotsman get or produce this ‘diseased’ image of the First Minister?

Not averse myself to an ugly mugshot of Jackson Carlaw, I know the choice of an image is never innocent but at this infected time, the Scotsman have the above strangely ‘diseased’ image of the First Minister.

I’ve never ever seen the FM look like that and she’s ubiquitous across our media every day. They’ve used some technique to make her look like that. What are they trying to say about her at this time?

Any psychologist reading this?

I’m feeling a mixture of anxiety and pity, so not good? She doesn’t look strong and capable. Should she join the PM in isolation and give the jackal reporters at the covid-19 briefings a chance?

I note that it is used with a piece by the former Tory MSP, Brexit MEP living in France, serial accuser of the SNP, the himself pretty poisonous, Brian Monteith.

You have to say France has been good for his skin tone and his topiary is enviably symmetrical.

  1. This morning on radio news the last item reported was a reminder that so many people across the U.K. will stand on their doorstep and applaud the nurses care staff and others and THEN they introduced a clip from a speech by Nicola Sturgeon.
Presented as “ Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon praised care staff “ then you hear Nicola saying she is grateful for the care staff and prison officers doing a great job in these exceptional times , CUT….that’s it….global news making out that Nicola Sturgeon only praised staff looking after prisoners.
And the presenter of the radio show immediately after doesn’t bat an eyelid ,carries on with the show, what a bunch of snide sneaky collaborators they are they’re all in it together the whole of the british media and Westminster plying their propaganda war against Scotland .

  2. They have even managed to make her hands red. Blood on her hands? Anyone ?
This’ll be the Scottish press that Angus Robertson wants to save.

  3. The same way they did the infamous photograph of the Saltire with a swastika?

I have a mistrust of every newspaper a mile wide and their pleas for government aid I hope will fall on very deaf ears.
