Only by subtracting the 87 deaths, reported by the BBC for the other three countries, from the 881 not reported by the BBC for the UK, can I exclusively report that there were 794 new deaths, not reported by the BBC, in England in the last 24 hours.
In Scotland however, there were 48 and it’s the big story:

And in Northern Ireland, there were 10:
England’s a big country. Maybe the regions have the statistics?
It’s just one day. It doesn’t mean anything?

What follows is trivial – beyond silly even to be niggled by it – not worth the space!
From the top line ‘Business’ tab of the BBC News website today you find an article about staff walk-outs from Royal Mail premises due to safety concerns around Coronavirus.

The same story featured on news bulletins during Radio 4’s Today programme this morning.
It is clearly being given as ‘UK’ news: “There is a shortage of gloves, masks and hand sanitiser, employees from across the UK have told the BBC.” We’re told the walk-outs have occurred at Royal Mail sites in Chatham, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington, Didcot, Edinburgh, Alloa and Fife.
Now when drafting the online article and the Radio 4 news piece, the writer had options. Which of the following do you think was chosen to communicate this UK news to a UK-wide audience?
Option 1: Over the last two weeks, staff at eight Royal Mail sites across the UK have walked out over safety concerns.
Option 2: Over the last two weeks, staff at eight Royal Mail sites, including three in Scotland, have walked out over safety concerns.
Option 3: Over the last two weeks, staff at eight Royal Mail sites, including five in England, have walked out over safety concerns.

Noticed the new confirmed cases for England weren’t given at last night’s 5 pm briefing. Searched the net for this info. Only site with the data was a uk gov site.
Will be interesting to see what happens this evening.
Apparently there was a GP on radio Scotland’s morning moanin saying her practise had no PPE and she was getting her’s from B & Q.
So rather than contact a Scottish Gov. Minister monitored email address this Dr. went to a hardware store. Then went on The radio.

There are no doubts whatsoever the Westminster is cleverly attempting to prevent to make proper stastical comparisons between NHS Scotland and the rest of the UK
If you log on to NHS SCOT covid 19 all key stats.found in a instant
Whereas if you go to NHS England then you get lost quickly
And if you go to UK GOV You can find the daily updates but today none on tests
If you use the key stastical factor of no.of deaths/cases and tests per million of population
Some very figs.reveal themselves and clearly point you in the direction that Although early days in this pandemic
That in key areas Scotland out performing
The rest of UK as follows
Scot. Rest of UK
CASES/ Million. 959. 1064
Deaths/Million. 90. 135
Tests/Million. 5003. 3900
And the figs.for Scotland are inc.of nos.outwith Hopitals
While as Rest of UK does not
So the figs are even more dramatic in reality whereby Scotland seriously out performing rest of UK
And in main this is due to the main factors as below
1 Scotland was far more prepared
2 Scotland effectively was faster going into lock down
3 Scotland very quickly and efficiently
Adopted far better communication systems c/w a excellent central command and control set up and having all relevant areas fully joined up
4.given 3. Above and with regards tests and PPE this enabled to produce a far more effective response
All this despite proportionally and equally funded and a population density far less
Which means all available and new resources HAD to deployed in a very intelligent manner
All above derives from
a) Leadership and delegation
b) Correct Attitude
c) Efficent monitoring and rapid change to any errors or where improvements required
Whilst and W/O doubt Westminster is in a shambles and they are on the back foot
Regards covid 19 and they are doing their utmost to prevent us all finding them
Out and more Importantly attemtping
To hide Scotland efficiencies

I agree.
However, you may also have noted the same marked contrast between:
(a) the ease and transparency of data on NHS Scotland’s performance against ALL its secondary care targets – and including graphical time series for historic context (at https://www.nhsperforms.scot ) on the one hand; and
(b) the ‘challenge’ of navigating through the ‘blizzard’ of sources for equivalent data for NHS England.
If anyone has found anything anywhere near as accessible as the presentation given at ‘NHS Performs’ for NHS England please let me know!!

Slight tangent re bbc reporting about Scotland…Professor Calderwood resigns doe to 2nd home visits…45 miles journey. Alone.
Johnson…discharged from hospital…picked up by daddy (from holiday home in Devon) TO daddy’s holiday home in Devon. (I might have picked up story wrong…but…)
And no freelance photographer selling photos to skittish sun.
