Next POTUS favours Scottish Independence

Good to see Bernie Sanders’ big bro Larry Sanders bring the Democratic Presidential Nomination campaign to Edinburgh – where welcome support for the rights of the people resident in Scotland to choose their own constitutional future was offered. Larry’s view is that Bernie favours Scottish Indy (of course he does – Bernie’s one of the good guys). Link and snippets below:

US presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders would be in favour of Scottish independence with Scotland’s political atmosphere “chiming much better” with his world view than the rest of the UK, says his older brother.

Larry Sanders was in Edinburgh on Thursday to promote the Democrats Abroad Primary – which gives US citizens the chance to vote for the party’s nominee in different countries. (US citizens can vote online or at voting booths set up in Edinburgh and St Andrews between February 18 and March 7.)

He said: “There’s a much different atmosphere coming from Scotland, not just from the Government but from beyond the Government as well.

“That chimes in many more ways with Bernard’s world view.”

When asked about the debate on Scotland’s constitutional future, The Green Party health spokesman claimed his brother would err on the side of self-determination.

Larry Sanders said a future president Sanders would not interfere in any future referendum on Scotland’s future in the way President Barack Obama did in 2014.

  1. Obama let himself down on this. Mariano Rajoy was predictable, and predictably quoted by our colonial media.
Cameron was reported as being very keen to get Putin on-side, but Putin did not get involved—too busy getting Trump elected, perhaps.

Keeping those “golden shower” videos locked away in the Kremlin, makes Vlad The Donald’s best pal!.
Or so the conspiracy theory has it.

    1. Mr Obama was very influenced by Mr Gordon Brown, whom he rated highly for calling the summit to try to establish a coordinated response to the crash of 2008 and for the arguments he deployed at the summit.

Although Mr Brown in a Freudian slip during a PM Questions said he had ‘saved the world’, It was, in fact the US and China which did the ‘heavy lifting’ with regard to the actions needed to be taken, based, and let us give credit where it is due, on the proposals mr Brown had made. As well as pumping money into the economy via the Federal Reserve the US also aggressively pursued financiers and jailed a fair number for long periods. In the UK less than one was prosecuted and, with the shedloads of public cash Messrs Darling and Brown shovelled in their direction, the bankers paid themselves huge bonuses and demanded austerity from the rest, which Cameron, Osborne and Clegg duly gave us.

PS £45BILLION was given to RBS, this week the UK Treasury, after 12 years were paid £600million in dividends from RBS shares – 1.3% of the ‘loan’
