SNP: A few arseholes won’t break the camel’s back

No it [Textgate] won’t break the camel’s back.

There seems to be a lot of mixing up of the roles the SNP has, by everyone:

1. The SNP in government: they do well, they have the intention of improving Scotland, and they work hard at trying to make those improvements. (And I agree with John that this is the main reason they get voted back into government)

2. SNP the party: well, that doesn’t appear to be going smoothly, and the leadership ,,, well. Let’s not go there, but secrecy and not listening are not good traits. The actual party, a broad church with much talent and lots of hard working MSPs MPs and activists. And a few arseholes.

3. SNP at Westminster: a good fighting force and playing the Westminster game, they seem solid and generally play within the rules. Constantly prompting and reminding the HoC that Scotland exists and will keep arguing in our favour.

4. SNP the Independence Party: they are not using their other positions to effect this in the main, this is what has stagnated. (For whatever reasons, and I don’t mean totally on purpose or totally because they don’t have a choice).

So, yes supporters will moan about 2 or 4, the media and opposition parties moan about 1, Westminster and uk media moan about 3, and no one knows who is moaning about what, so the media has a field day thinking unhappiness about 4 translates to lack of support for 1, or that trouble in 2 will affect their ability in 1 or 4 etc. It’s a morass of conflicting sentiments, with opposition parties and the media stirring up the mix to confuse and deflect.

I try and keep it separate – which seems to confuse people more for some reason.

I’m fine with people having a moan, but it’s a bit pointless harping on, if no one is listening you get a vote eventually and that will say whatever you want it to at the time.

  1. Hm, no I didn’t get much choice in the headline, but then, it’s always interesting to see your take and what picture you put up! Ludo usually gets the best pictures, but things seem to be improving for me now,,, ‘full resposibilty to the extent he can’, hah, that’s a disclaimer and a half.

I added to comments on the Propaganda piece, saying something about the actions SNP have been quietly taking with the EU, and I think there are some serious moves afoot in that regard:

Oh. I added the link to that comment, and have linked to that there,,, anyway, you can find it somewhere. (It’s from Joanna Cherry’s Twitter feed). It’s time I got off the internet, things to do etc.

  2. It’s called DIVIDE and RULE and the Britnats ie English establishment have had centuries of practice, they are dab hands at it. Every time some upstart within the SNP attacks others within the SNP the Britnats are laughing their heads off! Because the old tactic of promoting the Scottish cringe ( self hatred, NO self esteem whatsoever) politically, culturally, economically, and societally, was almost knocked on the head.

It was being questioned, why have the people of Scotland been so compliant, so ready to talk themselves down? You don’t hear Geordie’s in NE Eng undermining their own identity, quite the opposite in fact!

Any political party can be infiltrated, perhaps the SNP has been or is being manipulated to their detriment and thereby to Scotland’s detriment, outsiders working within! It doesn’t take much to ensure there is infighting, dissent, and turmoil.

Scotland has had and does have freedom from English rule in sight, independence is certainly a more favourable and life affirming look than a narrow, insular, racist, backward, future within the so called UK. Not a union of equals, it never was!

So, we stay positive, we call out the ones who are determined to take the SNP down, (without it being an obvious coup!) and we stop bickering. Donate to the SNP they need cash, they are not bank rolled by big medai moguls, or big corporations like the Britnat parties are.

That’s my pennies worth for the day!

Have a good positive day all…

  3. It’s called DIVIDE AND RULE, and the English establishment are experts at it!

It’s likely the SNP have been infiltrated, it’s not impossible, it’s easy to do and a classic tactic.

People need to stop the infighting ( the Britnats love it and are laughing their nasty heads off!) and call out the ones
in the SNP who are creating divide, block them on twitter etc.

Promote and share the positive policies of the SNP, reject the British narrow nationalists attempting to oust the SNP ( without it being an obvious coup!) they really want rid of Nicola Sturgeon, she is admired internationally for gods sake, and so is Scotland because of her leadership! That is one thing the English estblishment absolutely hate and will not stand for!

So we stay positive, we talk, we donate to the SNP, they are not bank rolled by huge companies and huge media moguls like the Britnats are, and we keep rejecting the Scottish cringe that has been such a feature of Britnat rule for far too long.

Share the facts, Scotland is obviously the poorer for being shackled to the so called UK, hardly a union of equals and never has been. Scotland has independence in sight, so we are up against a monster! That monster being the Brit establshment, who are also demonising Scotland, the people of Scotland and the SNP at every opportunity. It’s sinister and dangerous.

The Britnats do not play nice, we need to stock together, or be destroyed by them!

    Have a great day all.
