In the Herald today:
COMPENSATION paid out by Police Scotland to staff and the public has hit a new high, nearly doubling in four years to top £3m a year. the Herald can reveal. In 2019, the force paid out £3.31m in damages as a result of 227 claims, up from £1.725m from 250 claims in 2015 and a 65% rise on the previous year when there were £2.61m in claims.

BBC Scotland did this same story 8 days ago, revealing the ‘concerns’ to be only those of the Scottish Tories and, down the page, letting PS remind us that this was a ‘tiny percentage’ (0.3%) of their £1.1 billion budget. Neither, of course had covered this below to better inform us:
In the period April 2019 to June 2019, 82.0% of those surveyed stated that their confidence level in Police Scotland was high or very high.
- This figure is up 0.9 percentage points from the same period in 2018/19 (81.1%).
- In the period April 2019 to June 2019, over 91% of people indicated that they had been treated fairly and with respect by Police Scotland when dealing with the incident reported.
- Over 95% of respondents expressed satisfaction with their initial contact with Police Scotland.

They didn’t of course. No one did.

As the Hootsmon morphs from a comic into an on-line joke, the Tru-Britz-R-us Herod cannot be far behind.
MI5 subventions, ConLabDumb planted agitprop, and lies only cover up the lack of a journalistic connection with us, the public.

The ‘story’ about the Police Scotland ‘payouts’ was deconstructed prettyeffectively by the newspaper reviewer on Good Morning Scotland on Saturday.
