Good Morning Scotland went heavily on the two deaths in this morning’s edition. They included an interview with the CEO of Cancer UK Scotland. He opening sentence was actually supportive of the SG actions on workforce planning, but then she went into a litany of complaints which could easily have been written by Mr Anas Sarwar.
Then – and interestingly – Gary Robertson made a statement along the lines of “Are we being too critical of what is a very complex issue?” The CEO then said that that was why she had started off with a positive sentence. She then added several more statements which were the kind of constructive comments such chariteis should be making rather than going for cheap headline-grabbing blaming.
It was noteworthy that Gary Robertson adopted this more nuanced line. For some time now he has attempted to be more professionally journalistic, by tackling the Tories and Labour. However, there is always Hayley Miller or Gilian Marles to do the Scotland/SG/SNP pure baaaaad line.
