So we have BBC Scotland, the Chair of the Scottish BMA, Sarwar, Baillie, the English NHS Health Secretary Wes Streeting, the UK PM, all of Labour HQ & the branch office Labour party in Scotland all politicising the NHS in Scotland but England’s NHS is to be exempt from politicisation now that Labour are in charge. Professor John Robertson OBA BBC Scotland‘s website is headlining the vote in Holyrood yesterday which rejected the Conservative Party’s proposed bill that would have given people with drug and alcohol addictions the legal right to treatment. The report opens with  Former Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross, who tabled the Right to Addiction Recovery (Scotland) Bill, said the legislation would have saved lives. However, opponents said the proposals risked overburdening already stretched services. BBC Reporting Scotland celebrate their construction of reality actually overcoming the evidence and reducing trust in devolved government

Professor John Robertson OBA BBC Scotland broadcasts this morning, but not their website, are celebrating their achievement in pushing down trust in the Scottish Government [only 47%] by years of lying about it. When I first taught about media effects, 30 years ago, there were few good examples that media could actually cause significant effects in people’s behaviour. Very little evidence of young children taking knives into schools in Scotland

Professor John Robertson OBA There’s not one reference to Scotland in this 1 500 word report yet the broadcast on BBC Breakfast this morning explicitly includes it in the problem and the call for ‘knife arches’ to be installed in every school: Incidents of very young children taking knives into primary schools have been revealed by a BBC investigation.
