Professor John Robertson OBA Amidst fake indignation over the loss of the new ferries contract to a Polish shipyard and attempts to blame the SNP for what the media and the opposition parties have done to the reputation of a Scottish shipyard, the fairness of the competition has to be questioned. In November 2008, BBC UK reported: The European Commission has ordered Poland to reclaim more than 3bn euros of state subsidies paid to two shipyards which were facing bankruptcy. While BBC UK reported Starmer claiming the meeting of more appointments than in a period with 23 days of strikes, so probably fewer, BBC Scotland completely ignores Swinney actually exceeding his promise

Baron Grayling’s former constituency hospital parking patients head-to-toe in A&E after 23 years of Tory-representation

Chris Grayling, famous for trying to ban books in prisons, comparing Manchester’s Moss Side to the Wire and giving ferry contracts to a company with no ferries, was MP for Epsom and Newell where the local hospital had a visit from Mirror reporters, above. Grayling was MP for 23 years, until 2024, giving him time, you’d think to work with (press) the local hospital to improve performance. Not so it seems. Are Diarrhoea, Vomiting and Nausea spreading all over Scotland or is it just BBC Scotland making us feel that way?

Still a big item for BBC Scotland after 4 days: NHS Grampian has suspended visiting to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin after an outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting. The health board said three wards had been closed to new admissions and only essential visitors would be allowed at the Moray hospital. The report does not refer to Norovirus but those are the big symptoms and it tends to strike in winter in hospitals. What’s the wider picture BBC Scotland? Should we be concerned? You can’t tell us?
