From the Herald yesterday:

and:

Only hours later, the project has had to be moved to the Isle of Wight.
First the CalMac engineers failed to produce a genuinely convincing breakdown and drifting, stricken. To be fair there has never been a Calmac ferry engine failure at sea leading it being ‘stricken.’
Luckily for the producers, there have been at least three incidents where Red Funnel and Wightlink vessels have had ‘catastrophic’ main engine failures requiring tug-towing into harbour. See:

The producers have been advised that if they just wait about for a bit, something will go wrong anyway and they can just film that.
As for the wolf, White Fang (7), just refused to chase and hid under tables, shaking whenever passengers started to run by. He has only been seen chasing rabbits so far. A vet has sedated him. His minder did advise that wolves rarely if ever hunt humans.
Uist islanders have complained about another failed SNP service.
The series consultant Herr Professor Dr Johann Rumplestilreobertson, has advised the producers to try instead a docudrama about how a family from Uist was horrified by ticket prices for an Isle of Wight crossing. See

I am sure this will be quite a production!
So the Red Funnel ferries are somewhat smaller and are painted in very different livery to CalMac. The passengers and crew are not really very fluent in Gaelic or heaven forbid have Scottish accents. The background scenery is somewhat less rugged.
Am I missing something that will make this production more authentic? A cameo of a news reporter who happens to be on board perhaps? James Cook or Martin Williams might be available.
