Well, I suppose it’s good to see this, even if a little later and on contrary tack at times to our earlier predictions.

At stake is less the fuel supply for the current fleet of nuclear reactors than the fuel for the coming generation of advanced nuclear plants that are meant to provide all the extra power needed to run data centers and power artificial intelligence; Russia has a complete monopoly on the commercial production of that richer blend of fuel.

His main point is that this would be impossible with the very large number of these small sites planned compared to the current 9 large stations.

I wouldn’t give them one iota of credit. The existing nuke plants and more so the US/UK nuke subs plonked slap bang in the middle of Scotland already puts Scotland at risk of attack no doubt at all. Labour are looking to appear as the good guys, when the opposite is true and all LabCon MP’s in Scotland only take orders from their English London masters.
Scotland will be collateral in any offensive.

Talking of Nuclear .
Saul Staniforth posted this today on Wes Streeting when interviewed by Victoria Derbyshire on Laura Kuenssberg BBC Sunday show :
“Streeting says Russia could attack NATO within 3 years & we’ve got to increase defence spending because strength is the best deterrent”
“I thought our Nuclear weapons were the deterrent ? Why are we spending “200 billion on renewing Trident if it doesn’t deter people from attacking us” ?
Well he, Saul Staniforth, is right is he not ?
Deterrent – weapon that prevents an action. Countries maintain a nuclear deterrent to prevent attacks from foreign enemies.
Because for many many years when we, within Scotland , have argued against both Trident as weapons and also Trident being based within Scotland, then we have been confronted with what now appears to be a non argument, in that we were told that they were a deterrent against attacks .
From where and from whom ?
Well Russia was used as one example .
Meanwhile while UK government spending (UK tax payers money) will always be found to pay for wars and weapons of mass destruction , via a succession of clearly deceitful UK governments, we are all supposed to also believe that we , as a UK State, cannot keep spending more money on the Welfare system, the NHS and also that we cannot use tax payers money to pay compensation to any Waspi women.
I think it is clear who the various UK governments act on behalf of .
Not for us , the many, but they act mainly for the few as well as acting upon matters that serve their own selfish interests, be that as individual politicians or as a party.
The real problem today within the world is the exact same problem that existed in the past , that is where many of us as citizens within separate countries are (and were) voting for people and parties who do (and did) not deserve our votes .
As they, as governments, do (and did) not want to serve us , the people, as our (so called) leaders and their various political parties who formed governments, they only serve (and served) the interests and investments of those (the wealthy few) who have the big wallets that will then fund them both as political parties and also as individual politicians in their various political election campaigns.
When Wes Streeting was formerly the Health Secretary under Keir Starmer it was revealed that he had formerly received donations from a Private Healthcare company, then he as the former Health Secretary embraced more private sector involvement within the NHS.
Coincidence ?
Now he is Defence Secretary and what is he arguing for ?
More money , too much in fact, for spending on defence.
Well it was reported that:
“Streeting accepted over £50,000 from donors tied to the US data and surveillance firm Palantir (which holds major contracts with both the NHS and the Ministry of Defence) as well as hedge funds and financiers with stakes in arms manufacturers” .
“Streeting received £20,000 in June from Daniel Luhde-Thompson, a strategic adviser at Quadrature Capital, a hedge fund holding significant investments in arms companies and Palantir” .
Then “Streeting accepted £31,750 across seven donations from pro-Israel lobbyist and private equity adviser Trevor Chinn, whose firm CVC Capital Partners has ownership links to military equipment suppliers“
However do not forget it was Andy Burnham, as the new UK PM and new leader of the Labour party who are the current Labour UK government who appointed Streeting as his new Defence Secretary, that’s the same Andy Burnham who has told us all that he will “Do politics differently” .
When will that happen ? Different from whom ? Also how ?

Decommissioning nuclear costs £13Billion a year. Nuclear stations are years late and over budget.
Renewables are much better. Scotland is the best place in the world for renewables. Wind, sea, water, solar. Scotland in surplus in fuel and energy. Pays more. No parity despite being nearer the source.
