It’s with great pleasure that I can reveal the significantly increased audience and the presumably connected surge in our output of well-researched rebuttals of media lies and revelations of good news for Scotland, hidden by the same media.
It’s with less pleasure that I must note the ironically reducing success in crowd-funding to enable the very success it has so far helped us to achieve, in the last three campaigns. I’ve heard that, paradoxically, if a blog is already productive, people are less likely to donate, thinking it robust and inevitably then ensuring its subsequent eventual demise.
As always many thanks to those who have supported us and who encourage us daily with comments.
Best wishes
John

“Sky News announces new hosts of Sunday Morning With…..”
11 October – Ruth Davidson, politician and journalist (co-host of Sky’s Electoral Dysfunction podcast alongside Beth Rigsby and Harriet Harman) ?
Tory Peer actually.
18 October – Baroness Hazarika MBE, broadcaster and columnist who featured in Sky’s drama, The Wargame.
Labour Peer actually.
25 October – Anne McElvoy, journalist and executive editor at Politico, also co-host of Sky’s Politics at Sam’s and Anne’s podcast.
She was also once the Deputy editor of the right wing Spectator magazine and also a columnist in the right wing newspaper The Telegraph actually.
1 November – Fraser Nelson, political columnist for The Times and former editor of The Spectator.
Tory mouthpiece actually.
It seems that SKY News is trying to outdo GB News in allowing politicians (Peers) and partisan journalists (Fraser & McElvoy) to host their TV programmes.
They have also stated that “Further presenters for the run-up to Christmas will be announced in the coming weeks, bringing a range of voices and perspectives to the series”.
Well if that “range of voices and perspectives” does not include anyone from the SNP or from the YES side on the debate on Scottish independence , then it will be a deliberate slight to us in Scotland , as in all of us who support both the SNP and Scottish independence, and who also currently happen to still live within the UK and so then have access to SKY News as one of the UK news options on our TV’s.
That would also be why people in Scotland should then not regard their SKY News output as being honest , fair and balanced reporting whenever it comes to Scotland and our politics.
Simples.

“The UK Conservative Party actually overstated the cost of achieving net zero by nearly £500 billion (not 5 billion), due to an apparent spreadsheet double-counting error”.
‘Double-counting error’ , sure it was.
And this is the party that wants to impose Nuclear power into Scotland when it becomes the next UK government, God help us all and so then please someone save us all from the Tories.
“The document claimed that the government’s official independent adviser, the Climate Change Committee, estimated in 2020 that its route to net zero would cost £957 billion -the CCC’s actual 2020 figure was exactly half that amount—£478 billion”
That is £500 billion less than the Tories claimed it would cost” !
Tories and fiscal responsibility ?
Or is it just more Tory ineptitude in this wrong figure/information being included within the publication of their 100-page flagship policy document, The Right Way, championed by Tory leader Kemi Badenoch during the Conservative Party conference.
Bowie declared in his conference speech “No more Mr Nice Guy” when he should have actually declared that it would be ” No more Tory incompetence“.
Perhaps though that would be an impossible mission, after all it is the Tory party.
Unfortunately for the Tories it seems that they, the Tories, also still suffer from the same problem as the Labour party, that is that their new boss and their new (shadow) ministers are as useless as the previous old (useless) bosses were – as is their party.
Imagine the stooshie in Scotland if that were the FM and the SNP making an inaccurate claim in a official party publication.
Actually is there not a current ongoing stooshie with the FM where the BBC have an article on their website with the header “Swinney defends claims about Scots ‘losing’ pensions”.
While, so far , the same BBC has no article in respect to this current (latest) Tory blunder, as in an actual inaccurate claim, published in their actual official Tory publication.
Two tier Journalism still active in Scotland, thanks to the BBC (and others).
