The above terrifying Telegraph front page story and this below from BBC UK, have not hit the BBC Scotland news website in ‘SNP nuclear-free Scotland,’ contrary to the enthusiasm they had recently for a BBC Wales story of sex gang grooming where two of the gang now live in Scotland.
It’s rumoured that this is about a small gas-fired plant but I’m not sure that nuclear power stations are essentially more difficult once their control systems have online connection.
Why?
Remember this only three years ago?

The UK’s most hazardous nuclear site, Sellafield, has been hacked into by cyber groups closely linked to Russia and China, the Guardian can reveal.
The astonishing disclosure and its potential effects have been consistently covered up by senior staff at the vast nuclear waste and decommissioning site, the investigation has found.
The Guardian has discovered that the authorities do not know exactly when the IT systems were first compromised. But sources said breaches were first detected as far back as 2015, when experts realised sleeper malware – software that can lurk and be used to spy or attack systems – had been embedded in Sellafield’s computer networks.

And this from October 2024:

The company which runs the Sellafield nuclear site has been fined £332,500 for cyber security shortfalls.
The nuclear regulator found the Cumbrian facility “persistently” breached security regulations, meaning its IT systems were vulnerable to unauthorised access and loss of data. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdd4r7pg3vqo
Will the media operating in Scotland ask that junior energy minister, Michael Shanks to run round (in-joke) to Pacific Quay for a statement?

Not to worry !
Labour’s Joani Reid , with her connections to the Chinese who are friendly with iran , will ensure that no UK nuclear stations are targeted by the Iranians . LoL !

Refuse planning permission for any nuclear plants. Get rid of Trident dumped without permission or consent. A total waste of money. £Billions wasted on redundant obsolete weaponry.
Hinkley Point and HS2 built with Chinese loans. Years late and over budget. Billions wasted.
£1.5Billion project at Adersier refused for Scotland by Westminster Gov. Illegal interference in Scottish matters. They should sue Westminster in Court.

“Iranian hackers shutting down a UK power plant is surely the ‘final nail’ in Labour’s nuclear energy plans”
However what will the media emphasise the most in respect to this “terrifying” and shocking incident ?
Will it be the real potential safety risks this exposes for Scotland should it have nuclear power stations imposed upon it by a UK government , or will they, the media, just go with a predictable #IranBad narrative ?
I know what I think will be emphasised by them and also what will be emphasised by pro UK politicians and I also know what will be completely ignored by both of them.
(That is that nuclear power poses risks for Scotland and it’s people).
Mind you it is up to the public in Scotland to fully realise exactly what real consequences do exist to their safety and health with nuclear power within Scotland. For example via the “threats” that they, the various UK governments and the UK media , insist exist within the world from those that they refer to as ‘hostile’ countries. (which currently laughingly excludes America).
One such “threat” being interference by “Iranian hackers” in a “UK power plant”.
(Then there is also the real health risks to those living near these Nuclear power stations).
Health and Safety is seemingly not an issue worth worrying about for a UK government (or for the UK media) in respect to any of the people within the UK State, certainly it is not considered by them as being worth worrying about on behalf of or for the people of Scotland.
