Talking-up Scotland’s reporting has increased 56% since 2024 but Arty Hetty has been our constant friend for many years

We have many friends here and they are all deeply appreciated but I feel sure that no one will be surprised to see that, over the years, Arty Hetty has often been there, and quickest there, to back us up.

The above figures seem huge but bear in mind they only represent the period from around mid 2019, when perhaps in reaction to my recovery from arthritis-triggered opioid painkiller addiction, I changed the blog’s name from the apparently off-putting ‘Though Control Scotland’ which it had been titled since early 2014. The totals from 2014 would be around 11 million views, 4 million visitors and 14 000 posts.

Of particular interest here is productivity – posts per month. WordPress does not do a graph but it can be calculated manually from the totals.

194.6 posts per month (5 so far)
155.75 post per month (12)
124.6 posts per month
115.8 post per month

Our first crowdfunder in February 2025 and the two since have significantly enabled us to cover more issues, up 56.45% from 2024.

Many thanks to all of you.

John

  1. Good heavens! I’ve got a lot of catching up to do!

Congratulations John and all BTL contributors for providing a vital service, an oasis of facts in the media desert.

  2. Awww, that’s amazing. My comments are not always of a very good standard, but I hope they add some perspective, well opinions mostly.
I was told by my dad to take what the Brit news spouted with a large pinch of salt and when I was at technical college studying art, for why I don’t know, but we had to study other subjects one being communication or something, and that’s where I learned about how propaganda is used against the populations of this world.
John your work here is invaluable to Scotland and all of us, thanks! 🙂
